Chapter 43:When Love & Hate Collide

Jennie POV

I wake up so early to prepare for the pageant in the afternoon. Actually, competing in the pageant is my front-act to my family to execute the plan of Lisa.
I am fucking nervous and thinking how can I successfully do it.

Lisa wants to live with me to another country. And living apart from my family and friends are the things that I need to do. I need to sacrifice all the things I have, in order to have my freedom. Yes, I am scared of  living alone but I am more scared about  Lisa leaving me.

Honestly I heard her conversation with Papa last week. She agrees to my papa on leaving me. It's really breaks my heart when I heard it from her. So when I read the letters that she wants to marry me and live with me to another country, I am overwhelmed.

I love my family but I think Lisa needs me more. I am willing to do everything for Lisa. I need to be tough to protect her. She needs someone like me. She deserves to be loved and get her happiness she wants.

I stopped my thoughts when the designer of my clothes and my make up artist arrive in our house already. They are very excited for me winning the competition. Even my family prepare all the things that I need for the pageant.

My family really loves me.

"I am hoping that I will not regret my decision in choosing you Lisa".

At the dressing room

The pageant is about to start in any minutes by now. Jennie feels nervous because her family is watching and following her every actions. She is not comfortable with the thought that she is being monitored. On the other hand, Jisoo examines that her cousin is not focused in the competition. She senses that Jennie is thinking about something else. 

Js: Couz, are you OK? Is your leg hurting?

J: No, it's not. Don't worry about me. I am OK.

Js: You look so nervous Couz. Calm down. Breathe in, breathe out.

J: Shut up Couz. I know what to do. Besides I am not nervous with this pageant. I know that I will win.

Js: OK. If you say so.

Rose is supporting Jennie and Irene too. But she's ignoring Jisoo's presence. Rose is very excited for her friends. She even bought flowers for Jennie and Irene for an advance congratulatory.

R: What the heck! Your so pretty unnie! I am really sure that there are many women and man will drool when they see you at the stage. And I am confidently sure that you will nail it later.

J: I know right.  Please don't state the obvious.

R: Haha OK. By the way unnie, have you seen Irene? I thought she is a part of the final ten. I already checked her on her dressing room but she was not there. She is suppose to be here by now. Any minute, the program will get started.

J: I don't know Rose. I didn't see her from the time we're here.

While they are talking, Diana enters the room. She is looking for Jisoo.

Di: Ah excuse me. Is Jisoo here?

Rose is about to answer but Diana saw Jisoo already. She immediately hugs Jisoo. Jisoo hugs her too. Rose is just looking to them.

Js: Hi, why are you here?

Di: Nothing, I just want to see you before the program will start.

Js: Really? Good luck to you pretty. Do your best. You can do it!

Jisoo taps the head of Diana and smiling to her widely.

Di: Of course, I will make you proud. By the way, I am looking for you because I just want to invite you and Lisa for a dinner after the program. Do you think Lisa is free later? And where is Lisa by the way, I haven't seen her at school for the past few days. I am worried to her.
