"Eddie, time to get up, boy!" Wayne shouts down the hall of the trailer. "Visiting hours aren't 'til 10. If we're gonna bring her home to live here, we need to go get some things to make her feel at home."

Eddie opens his eyes and looks at the clock. He throws the blankets off of himself with a grunt as he pulls himself out of bed. He rubs the sleep from his big brown eyes and looks at the clock again.

"It's only 6:30, Uncle Wayne. " He whines as he makes his way out of his room and to the kitchen.

"I know this boy. But we need to go get her some things. A bedroom set, sheets, blankets, pillows. She's gonna need some clothes and some things of her own, don'cha think?" Wayne says as he pours a bowl of cereal for Eddie. "Milk? " he asks.

Eddie shakes his head. "No, I like it dry."

Wayne shakes his head and lets out a laugh, pouring him a glass of milk instead. "To wash it down."

Eddie digs into his dry honeycombs without a care, taking a gulp of milk every now and then.

"When you're done, we'll go down to the store 'n see what we can't find for her, huh? "

Eddie nods, and he finishes his breakfast and little too quickly. Wayne watches him as he finishes his coffee.

"Alright boy, go get dressed. "

"On it, Uncle Wayne!" Eddie shouts as he runs back to his room, slamming the door behind him before he starts throwing clothes around, looking for something somewhat clean. After a few minutes, he is running out of the trailer to the van.

The drive to the store is quiet, but Eddie is buzzing in his seat. The young boy is more than excited to prepare for his new friend to move in.

Wayne grabs a shopping cart and starts off for the linens section, rubbing the back of his head as he tries to think what a strange little girl would like. He's never had to shop for a girl before.

Eddie looks around with wide eyes, having the need to touch everything he possibly can.

"How about this?" He says, pointing at a peachy canopy set. "It's got sheets and pillow cases and this teepee thing."

"That's a canopy." Wayne corrects as he walks over, looking at the set. "That's a good choice, boy. Think she'll like the color? " Wayne rubs the top of Eddie's head, signaling a job well done.

"I don't know, maybe." He says as he wraps his small boy arms around the way bigger than him package that houses the linen set. He struggles a bit as he carries it over, pushing it into the cart.

"She needs pillows and a nice blanket!" He shouts as he runs to the next aisle over, where he finds every type of pillow he can imagine. He squeezes and punches more than a few before deciding. He grabs two and runs them back to the cart, grinning at his uncle.

Wayne is standing over by the blankets, rubbing the back of his head once again. There are so many to choose from and he knows nothing about girls, especially the one he's shopping for.

"What one boy?" He asks his nephew. Eddie moves and stands beside him, imitating his uncle by also rubbing the back of his head.

"Uhm, this one!" He points at a gray, very soft, chunky knit blanket. "It looks soft and warm, just like her!" He says, beaming, possibly having a little puppy crush on the girl who magically fixed his arm. Wayne raises an eyebrow at the comment and laughs it off, grabbing the blanket and tossing it in the cart.
