Her fist night out of the lab was pretty easy, even though she was in the hospital and in pain. She was still in a somewhat lab like setting, so it felt like home to her. As nice as her new bedroom is, it's something she is not used to yet. Her first night living with Eddie and Wayne was pretty scary. The nightmares almost ruined everything, until Wayne came in to check on her. He tried his best to help, but it was Eddie who set her back at ease. He stayed with her the first few nights as she settled, but she wanted to try sleeping in her new room on her own this time.
It's late, She's laying on her comfy bed with the chunky knit blanket and the little bear Eddie gave to her. She feels like she's filled with too much energy. She just can't fall asleep. Since she's having so much trouble sleeping, she decides to practice some of her abilities, really focusing on illusions. She's never really been that good at it. She sits on her bed, crisscross applesauce, closes her eyes, and tries to focus all she can. She thinks hard and tries to picture twinkling lights around the room. Slowly, she opens her eyes to see if it worked. To her surprise, her room is actually filled with hundreds of twinkling lights of all different colors.
She continued working on her abilities, wanting to still be able to control them. She wants to be as strong as she can with them. She wants to be the best that she can be. After a few hours of illusions, she worked on her telekinesis, just randomly floating things around the room. She doesn't have anything to crush or expand again, so that was all she could do until she was finally tired enough to attempt to sleep again.
She curled up under her blankets and hugged the teddy bear close as she closed her eyes. It's harder to sleep when she can hear things so clearly outside of her window. The trailer walls are much thinner than the lab, lights, and sounds able to get in, despite the curtains. Eventually, her body and mind relaxed enough for her to sleep, but the comfort and relaxation didn't last long.
Nightmares plague her. They're so vivid. she is reliving her last day at the lab again, refusing to harm the kitten and getting punished for it. She can feel the shocks of electric run through her body, the punches, and the kicks. She must have been crying or screaming again because suddenly she felt someone hugging onto her, trying desperately to calm and comfort her. He would never say anything. He would just crawl into bed next to her and hug her until she stopped crying.
This became a normal thing for a little while. She would have a nightmare, and Eddie would go to her room to comfort her silently.
Once the nightmares stopped, he didn't stay with her. He would go to bed with her, then sneak back to his room when he knew she was alright. Clearly, she was fine and didn't need him there.
Eventually, he stopped going to bed with her all together. When he stopped going into her room, she started having trouble sleeping again. She would find herself sneaking into Eddie's room now, cuddling up with him in his bed instead.
It wasn't long before they were sleeping together every night, keeping one another company, giving comfort that was desperately needed. Two innocent little kids who needed each other.

During the days, they would play, what he called, twenty questions. He wanted to get to know her, and she wanted the same from him. They live together now, they should know each other.
The instant bond they had the moment they met was just the beginning. They learned a lot about one another. She learned his mom died a few years ago, and his dad is not a good man. He was teaching Eddie a lot of illegal things before he was sent to prison. He didn't tell her much about either of them. She didn't ask. It's not her place to know unless he wants her to. They never talked about it again. Eddie's only been living with Wayne for maybe two or so years.
