**Eddie's POV**

Angel has been acting a little strange lately. She seemed to start changing after the accident. She told me Jason had threatened her on the first day back at school, sending her into full on panic attacks. I'd never seen her like that before. It broke my heart to see her fall apart. I gave her a Xanax, it helped her relax and finally get a good nights sleep.

She seemed so much happier the next morning. The second day back, we were getting settled into our first class, and she was called to the office. She told me they wanted her to give some new kid the school tour, which was weird because Angel is not exactly a school favorite to be tasked with such a thing.
She told me how this new guy was hitting on her during the tour, even after she told him she wasn't single. For whatever reason, she agreed to meet him after school because he said he wanted to buy some weed.

I went with her as backup if anything sketchy happened. Before we went, though, she went to the bathroom.

When she came back out, she seemed a little off. I let it go, figuring she was just nervous about meeting this guy. I put a sign up for Hellfire that we would be back in a little while.

When we went out to meet this, Charlie she asked me to stay hidden because she told him to go alone, but I was there just in case. It was a good thing because he tried to make a move on her. She really didn't need me there, though. She used her superpowers to knock the creep into a tree on the ground. I still ran to her side to help her up and made sure she was ok.

The way she handled this guy was amazing. She never had to lay a finger on him, using her abilities to pin him to the ground against the tree. It was so hot. She pulled me into a kiss before telling me to go back to Hellfire. I know she had it handled, so I went back to the school to start setting up the game with the guys.

After a little while, she finally came to the room to join us. She said Charlie isn't going to be a problem anymore, which I'm thankful about. I don't want to worry about some prick trying to hit on my girl. I'd love to know what she did to him, but I guess I'll wait for her to tell me.

The game was progressing, and I noticed she was zoning out a bit, lost in her own world. I tried talking to her as I narrated the game, but she was so transfixed on something.

I looked into her eyes and noticed her pupils were pretty big. It could just be because the lights are off and were playing by cangle light to really set the mood of the game.

The flames started to flicker and dance as the room started getting cold. There must be a draft in here somewhere. Her eyes were darting around all over the room, falling on the guys and the game pieces on the table. Her leg was bouncing so much it was starting to distract me. I couldn't handle how fidgety she was, so I placed my hand on her knee, causing her to snap back to reality.

I decided to end the game there for the night, the atmosphere getting a little too uncomfortable for the guys.

When we went out to the cars and said goodnight, the van doors unlocked and opened. I looked at Angel, wondering what was going on.

"I'm helping." is what she said. I always get the door for her. This was kind of weird to me. I'm glad shes using her abilities and getting better and stronger with them, but I wish she would still let me do things for her.

When we got back home, I sat in the van with her, wondering if she was going to open the doors again or if she would let me get hers. Low an behod, she opened my door but kept hers closed. I got out and moved around to her door, opening it as always.

"Is this what we're doing now?" I asked her before getting the door to the trailer for her. It's nice that she wants to do these things for me, but it feels strange.
