(This is a bonus chapter for now. I will edit it in place when the time comes, but I want to give you all something sweet for the holiday. ❤️ )
The smell of bacon and coffee fills my nose as I sleep, waking me up in the best way. I open my eyes and stretch out on my bed, only to realize Eddie isn't still sleeping next to me. I take a moment to enjoy the space, stretching out as much as I can under the blankets.
As I'm about to pull the blanket off and get out of bed to go out for breakfast, my bedroom door slowly opens. To my surprise, Eddie comes walking in, tray in his hands.
"Happy Valentines Day, princess." He almost sings as he comes in, setting the tray on the bed.
"Eddie, what is all this?" I ask as I look over the huge breakfast he made for us. I'm greeted with coffee, bacon and eggs, and pancakes he tried to make into the shape of hearts.
"A special breakfast for my special wife." He says as he closes the door before coming to join me on the bed.
"I hope we're sharing." I smile at him, leaning over the tray of food to give him a kiss. "There's no way I can eat all of this alone."
"Of course, if that's what you want, princess." He grabbed a fork full of pancake and brought it to my mouth.
I laughed as I accepted the bite, returning the gesture. We ended up feeding each other the entire breakfast, stupidly enjoying our short time together before he had to leave for school.
"You should probably get going, baby." I pouted, knowing he had to go, and I had to stay home without him.
"Do I have to? I don't want to go." He pouted back, moving the tray out of the way before his mouth attacked my neck.
"I don't want you to go either, but you have to if you want to ever graduate." I whine, rubbing his sides with both hands, half trying to keep him here with me.
"I know, princess. I know." He gives me one more kiss before finally pulling away. "I love you." He tells me as he grabs the tray and heads out, putting the dishes in the sink for later.
"I love you too." I sigh, flopping back on my bed, wondering what the hell I'm going to do for the rest of the day.
I could draw or paint. Maybe I'll write a new song. I should plan something special for when Eddie gets home.
I'd love to take him out to a nice restaurant, but with my luck, Jason will probably be anywhere I choose, just waiting to ruin everything.
Finally I came to a decision. I went into the kitchen and cleaned up Eddie's mess and the dishes. He's such a slob, but he's my slob, and I love him.
I set to making cookies. Adorable heart-shaped cookies. Measuring out and mixing up the ingredients, I dye the dough pink and red. Once the oven is at temperature, I pop them in to bake.
"What are you doing out here, girl?" Uncle Wayne asks as he comes out to see what's going on. The sweet smell of deserts filling the trailer.
"I'm making cookies for Eddie." I smile at him as I pull out one tray, putting in another. "Wanna help me decorate them?"
"I'm not really much of a baker or a cookie decorator. You have fun, though." He raised a brow as he watched me, not realizing we had the things to make disgustingly adorable cookies.
"Suit yourself. None for you then." I joke as I pipe on the icing and toss on some sprinkles.
"That's fine, dear. I probably shouldn't have all that sugar anyway."He laughed, knowing I would actually let him have some of he wanted. "Do you have any other plans for Valentines Day?"
