The Crazed Man

Chapter 6

Erika POV
I woke up feeling my bed hard instead of its soft exterior. I opened my eyes to see Joe's chest. I pushed my body off him making me fall to the floor. "Erica it's the weekend did you have to wake me up". Joe had sat up looking down at me on the floor. He had no shirt on showing his tanned abs.
"Come on. Get up," he said with a sigh. He pulled me up and I went to go change. I walk to the kitchen counter to grab my phone.

Joe POV
CALL
"Hey I need you to get me some information on someone" I ordered.
"Who, Sir"?
"William Thomas ".

I hung up the phone once I heard the door open from Erika's room. She walked out in a green crop top and some mom jeans."Where are you going" I said. "Just to the market. But before I go I need to get myself a B/C powder for this headache. Remind me to never drink again."

" Yeah, uh huh. Like me telling you to stop drinking will stop you. Let me put some clothes on I will go with you" I said quickly walking to my room. "No. I can go by myself."
"I know you can go by yourself but can you carry all the bags you will bring back. Also, who will cook most of the food you will be buying."
"Okay. Okay. Hurry so we can leave".

"Before I get dressed I need you to take these.
I grabbed Erica's pill bottle out of the cabinet and handed her two pills. She took them but not before heavily sighing. After, I watched her swallow the pills I went to my room and got dressed. A while of driving means, we arrived at Market. Erica's eyes lit up when she saw the first vendor who was a jewelry maker. There were bead necklaces, bead hip bands, and Erica's favorite bead bracelets. She bought about twenty from the woman then I grabbed her hand and we left the stall.

We walked to the veggie, fruit , and other vendors . After, an hour I had bags filled with different foods. We were on our way back to the entrance to leave the market when Tara ran towards someone. When I caught up with her I saw Will beside her. They both were smiling and laughing.

"So I see you got home well last night," Will said."Yeah. I just had a major headache when I woke up but yep perfectly fine. I hope I didn't say anything embarrassing". "Well, not exactly it's more like what didn't you say" Will began smiling and scratching his nape."You hugged me and wouldn't let go. I told you that you need to leave since you were so drunk but you insisted you wanted to stay with me."
Will just stared at Erika's face as she shook her head in embarrassment.

"You know I quite liked that my cute coworker didn't want to leave me" he flirted. Erika began to blush like a tomato."So what are doing here at the market," Erika asked. "I would like to know the answer to that as well," I said while cocking back a fake smile."Well, I came to buy some supplies for my house. I see you both have as well". "It's amazing how fresh going to an outdoor market than a regular store" Erika said. "Yes, and it's cheaper too."

"Which is a plus" Erika beamed. They both laughed as a scowl appeared on my face.
"We have to go. Our produce is getting too hot." I excused. "Well I guess I will see you on Monday, Erica".  Will kissed Erika's hand while keeping eye contact with me. My heart began to skip a beat. "I shall," Erika flirted back.
"Let's go ERICA," I said in a low tone.

Erika POV
We walked back to the car. Joe put all of the groceries in as I sat in the passenger seat pouting. Joe hopped into the car slamming the door. He began to drive erratically out of the parking lot."What the hell is wrong with you," I asked.Joe turned his head to me.
"Nothings wrong with me. I just don't like seeing that guy. Something not right about him. I don't want you around him."
