The Crazed Man

Chapter 32

Nini POV
I sat holding my son's hand. These last two months have been hard on me. The doctors don't know when he will wake up. A round-the-clock doctor changed his IV bag cleaning and shaving his face. I haven't talked to John.

I put my head down on my son's hand when I felt it move. I looked up to see his eyes open. "Oh... my god. DOCTOR. DOCTOR" I yelled. Joseph tried to sit up but I laid him back down. "You need to wait. You've been asleep for a while now, son. Just wait for the doctors" I cried.

I cradled his head into my chest kissing his head. After a minute the doctor and a nurse came running in. "HES AWAKE MY BABY BOY IS AWAKE" I looked over at the doctor. "Nurse check his vital signs" the doctor looked at Joseph astonished.

Erica's POV
Currently, we were in a Toyota red car. Will and I were in the front two seats. While Caroline was in the back. "So your Favorite color is red" Carlione smiled looking at Will. "Yes," he sighed. "Well, what about-"I cut Caroline off. "How about we just listen to some music," I said while playing with the stations.

After about an hour we finally arrived. Will parked in the circle driveway of the building. "So, what should be our game plan," Will asked. "How about you and I handle the lady? While Erika gets the information" Caroline said while walking towards the building.

Clenching my fist I followed her. We came into the room to see many people working on different schematics. A woman came toward us dressed in all black. "Hello, are you the 12:10 meeting for Ms. Harris". "Yes," I smiled. "Follow me" she turned around leading us to a nearby stairs.

We all followed her leading to an open room with a desk and a half kitchen. "Welcome, so you're the poor souls that your boss sent this time," an old lady with locs down to her waist said. "Yes, we are" Will smiled cheekily. "Oh I like you" she looked at Will.

She had a pair of slacks and a white shirt. She had light-tanned skin. We followed her to the other side of the room where a white king couch sat in front of her desk. We got seated getting comfortable " Now what information do you need," Ms. Harris asked.

"Well, just colors and a couple of themes you want for the new office" Caroline smiled. She glanced at Caroline sitting back in her chair. "You come with me I will show you the options I have been thinking of," she said pointing to me. I skeptically looked at Will then got up following the lady.

Will POV
"Is New York like in the movies?" Caroline asked. "Nope, it doesn't give it justice. The pizza slices are huge" I smiled. Caroline laughed holding my arm. I moved slightly making her hand fall to the couch.

Erica's  POV
I followed the lady to a big room in the hallway that was bare. There were leftover wood pieces sitting on a table and the walls were white. "So these three shades are what I have been thinking," she said holding one shade of dark blue, a beige color, and a violet.

"Well, I would go with this one" I pointed to the dark blue colors. "Great, so now all you have to do is take this back for your interior designers". "Yes," I said moving my purse. My bag collided with the wood pierces making it fall on the floor. "Oh, my gosh. I'm so sorry" I said dropping to the floor.

"No, no, no" the lady went to the floor waving me away. "You go ahead. Take the dark blue color sample". "Are you sure" I bent down looking at her on the floor? "Don't worry about me child. I might look old but I can still move" she smiled. I walked out of the room going back to where I left Caroline and Will.

I stopped in my tracks as I watch Caroline's lips placed on Will's. I turned around to see Ms. Harris smirking behind me. "Ahhh, let's head back to them now," Ms.Harris said loudly. I sucked in the air trying to stop myself from crying following her back to her office area.

"I think it's time for us to leave," I said sternly looking at Caroline and Will. "Are you sure you've gotten everything" Caroline grinned while whipping her head. "Yes. I'm. Sure. I. Have everything" I clenched my jaw while rolling my eyes. "Well, then it seems we have everything" Will stood up shaking hands with Ms. Harris and her assistant.

"Come back anytime cutie" Ms. Harris smiled. Will nervously held his neck grinning. After saying goodbye I walked ahead to the car. Once we were all in the car Will started driving back to the company.

Joe POV
"Water" I coughed. I watched my mom rush to pour a glass of water from the clear pitcher. "Here son" I chugged the water in one go. "How long have I been asleep" I looked at her. "Two months" she whispered. "Two months" I mumbled. "I told Erica I was going on a short trip she must be worried," I thought to myself.

I pulled the cover off my body and slowly dragged myself out of the bed. My mom rushed to my aid trying to lay me back down. "You have to rest. Please" my mother started begging."Mother's right," Marcus said in the doorway with tears streaming down his face.
