After yesterday's incident, everyone asked me one by one if I was okay or if they were surprised that it was the great Blake who saved me. After talking to him yesterday, I started to wonder if he was really as bad as everyone around me says. Although... Maybe boy was extremely nice to me, because he wanted to approach me somehow? But if so, why? Or maybe I'm just thinking too much about it all.
"Tell me. " Octavia took me by the hand and together we sat under the class.
"So they almost kill me yesterday..." I looked at the girl.
"No, about what came next. " Brunette smiled broadly. "Bellamy saved you and drove you home!? "
"How nice that you're worried about me. " I shook my head, but I didn't hide my smile.
"Oh, come on. " Friend put her arm around me. "You know I love you. " She said and smiled charmingly. "I would die if something happened to you. " I smiled slightly at her words, and then I told her everything until now. "I'll say it right away..." Octavia said after I finished the story. "I ship you guys! " She hugged me tightly, to which I laughed with her.
"Dummy. " I shook my head in disbelief.
"But ... " Brunette was a bit serious. "You should watch out for him anyway. He... I don't know... But I know what people are saying, and I don't want you to suffer because of him. "
"I know what they're saying. " I sighed. "But something tells me that he's completely different... He's... I mean, yesterday, when I talked to him, he seemed to be some kind of... Completely different. You know what I'm talking about? " I glanced at my friend.
"I guess. " She shook her head affirmatively. "What are you going to do? "
"Honestly? I have no idea. "
"Clarke! " We suddenly heard familiar voices. They were Zart and Mike. The boys came up to us.
"You were at the director's, haven't you? " I guessed it.
"Yeah..." Mike sighed.
"Did he screw you up a lot? " Octavia interjected. "After all, you almost killed my friend. " She put her hands on her chest as she stood with me in front of them.
I scolded my friend with just a glance. Octavia sighed.
"You're lucky that she's fine and that I like you, otherwise I would've made you hell. " Added, to which I smiled.
"Thanks... " Zart smiled hesitantly. "Oh, yeah... " Boy took Merci out of his backpack. "Here. " He gave me a gift.
"Oh, you didn't have to, I was joking. " I smiled and accepted the gift.
"Yes, but we're friends, aren't we? We don't want to spoil this relationship by our stupidity. "Mike said.
"Clarke, will you forgive us?" Zart interjected.
"Of course. " I smiled and hugged them.
Later, I treated Merci's friends, we talked for a while, and then we had to go to class.
Later, unfortunately, we had lessons with our class tutor. And immediately the first topic that was raised was yesterday's incident. Everyone talked fiercely about it, and I was just waiting for the end of the lesson. Fortunately, it passed me by quite quickly.
"Clarke, fortunately nothing happened to you. " Lucy, one of the girls in my class, said. Ugh, I hated her. "I was terribly horrified when I heard about it. " She put her hand on her heart.
"Oh, yeah? " I looked at her with a little hint of anger. Enough of it, I can't stand it anymore. I'll say mine! "Somehow I didn't interest you before. " I said surely. "Now suddenly you started to care about something like that? That I almost died yesterday or maybe that Blake saved me? "
The girl wanted to say something, but I didn't let her.
"Just stop it." I raised my hand up. I got up from the bench when the bell rang and headed towards the door. "I know you don't care at all. So don't pretend to be so nice and close your meal, because I've had enough of it. " I added and left the class as if I had never left anything in shock the whole class with the teacher.
I told myself that one day I would've to dare to get everything out of them. I didn't apologize to Lucy for the last incident, I didn't even have that intention. In class, we omitted this topic, but it seems that only now have they begun to notice who I really am. They didn't know me from that side. They thought I was just a gray mouse that they could torment, avoid, ridicule and write lessons from her. Not this time. This time it'll be different. Of course, Octavia and my mother supported me in all this. Raven and Harper were also happy to be able to rise to the occasion.
The following weeks passed quickly. Bellamy tried to get any contact with me even though I tried to avoid him. I think he took up the challenge and wanted to do everything to make me like him at least a little. The girls around were jealous that the boy was interested in me. I still didn't know why. However, recently I had the opportunity to find out.
I was just leaving the bathroom and walking towards the classroom where I was currently having lessons when I saw Bellamy sitting alone on the stairs. He was kind of weird. Sad? Upset? Hm... Strange. I decided to come up and talk to him. I didn't believe I was doing it myself, but still... In part, I liked the fact that the boy was trying to win my sympathy. Of course, I was aware that it could've been some kind of trick... I don't know... Maybe he made a bet with someone that I'd like him or something like that, but... I hoped that wasn't the case.
"Hey. " I approached brunet and sat next to him.
"Oh, hey. " Boy was a bit surprised to see me here. "Not in class? " He asked.
"There's no teacher." I shrugged. "And you? "
"Let's say I took time off. " Man said and smiled pugnaciously, to which I just shook my head. "And by the way, I'm waiting for the princess on a white horse. " He moved his eyebrows funny. "But it seems that she has already arrived. "
"I'm not a princess. " I put a lock of hair behind my ear, blushing slightly.
"I've a different opinion. " Boy replied.
I put a straight line out of my mouth.
"Something happened? " I decided to change the subject.
"What do you mean? " He pretended, I knew it.
"Oh, I see that something is bothering you. " I poked him slightly.
Young man looked at me with thought and then lowered his head.
"What? " I looked at him. "Why are you looking at me like that? "
"Nothing..." He sighed. "It's nothing like that. " He ran a hand through his hair. "Let's change the subject, huh? " Looked at me with a look that forbade opposition.
I just sighed. I thought for a moment, and then I decided to ask a bothering question.
"Bellamy...? " I started uncertainly.
"Hm? "
"Can I ask you a question? "
"You'll do it anyway? " Boy glanced at me and smiled slightly. "Go ahead. "
Damn. It's easy for him to say. Come on, Clarke, you can do it.
"Why did you take an interest in me? " I glanced at him. "I mean... You know... There are so many pretty girls at school who dream of being able to even talk to you or... Whatever. Blake, I'm not like them so why? "
"And why not? "Answered the question with a question.
"Because I'm not a girl of their level..." I added, sadly lowering my head.
Brunet looked at me, thought for a moment, and said.
"Do you think that only those girls are worth something? These face primer girls, having so much of it all on faces that you don't know what monster is hiding underneath? " He glanced at me, but I still avoided his gaze. "If so, you're very wrong. " He said confidently. "You know what? Let me tell you something. " Stood up and stood in front of me. "They're not equal to your level, princess." He said, which caught my attention.
Brunet smiled charmingly and left the school when the bell rang.
