Chapter 14

We took Bellamy into some empty room and called my mother, who on the way scooped up clean water to clean the wound, and then went to look for bandages.

I was left alone with Blake. I was to clean his wound.

"Take off your shirt. " I said looking at him.

Boy smiled, but he did what I asked him to do.

"Maybe your mom will again see us in an ambiguous position. " He smiled, which I reciprocated.

I sat next to him, soaked a clean cloth in clean water, and began to wash the wound.

Fortunately, it was neither deep nor so serious.

I tried to focus on my mission, not on the beautifully built body of the brunet.

"You're blushing. " Bellamy noted.

"And you distract me. " I entered into his words.

"Why? " Man smiled pugnaciously.

"Bellamy... " I raised my head to look at him, and I almost didn't collide with him.

Our faces were again close to each other.

"I'm trying to focus. " I raised my eyebrows.

"Yeah, I can see that. " Blake laughed for which he got a nose flick.

There was silence in the minutes that followed, but it wasn't for too long.

"That guy didn't do you anything?" Blake asked suddenly.

"No." I looked at friend. "Thank you. " I said, looking into his eyes. "Thank you for saving me. "

Man smiled slightly.

"Like I said..." He said. "I'll protect you if necessary. Always. "

"It's good that it wasn't one of those girls, because she could scratch you with her claws. " I said, and boy laughed.

"Then you must also grow such nails, then next time you'll defend me with these claws. " Said, to which I laughed this time.

"Sure. " I replied with a smile on my face, and after a while my mother came inside with bandages in her hand.

"And what are you so happy about? " She asked with a smile.

"Um... Nothing like that. This time when you enter I'm shirtless. I'm afraid if you find us the third time. " Blake laughed, and we joined him.

Our plan was successful! We managed to collect the right amount of money. Doctors were supposed to start the operation as soon as they got the money.

I was relieved. Fortunately, we succeeded. Raven has a chance. And as Bellamy said, she's very strong. She'll definitely come out of it.

Operation Raven was to take place today. We all went to the hospital and waited at the door from the operating room until the operation was over. It took a few long hours.

Raven and Octavia's parents sat in chairs with Murphy, Jasper, Monty, and Shaw. And I, Bellamy, Octavia, and Lincoln sat on the floor.

Octavia fell asleep leaning against Lincoln's shoulder, and Bellamy sat next to me and held my hand.

I was sick of waiting. Looking at the sleeping Octavia, my eyes began to close. I blinked several times to chase away the fatigue, but it didn't work.

"Take a nap a little." Blake whispered to me. "I'll wake you up when they're done. " He added looking into my eyes.

I sighed. I didn't have the strength to argue with him.

I rested my head on the brunet's shoulder, and after a while I fell asleep.

"Wake up, princess." Blake touched my cheek.

I looked at him confused.

"It's over. " He added with a smile.

"Raven...? " I asked right away.

"The operation was successful. " Doctor interjected looking at us, sitting on the floor. "There were some complications, but it's over now. " Added.

Bellamy helped me get up on my feet.

"So Raven is already healthy? " Octavia asked.

"We need to watch her for the next few days, but it should be better. "

"Should? " Monty interjected.

"We excised the tumor, but during the operation there were complications, so we need to observe the patient and make sure that everything went our way. " Doctor explained, and later the nurse called him to the next patient.

We were all happy to hear that it was all over. I hugged Bellamy tightly.

"See? I told you that everything will be fine. " Man whispered to which I smiled.

"Let's hope that it will be better now. " Shaw said.

"Since they calved the tumor, it should be fine. " Jasper smiled.

And so we hoped. Later, we walked into Raven's room and waited for her to wake up. And when this happened, girl had a surprise. She was very happy to see us all together.

I hoped it would only get better now. However... Not always everything goes our way...
