Having friends like this is a real treasure for which I was very grateful. I don't know what I would do without them. They're not only friends, but also family whom I love very much. I would give my life for them if the need arose.
Another Saturday day. Mom stayed home with our new little companion, and I went to the store to do some shopping.
I was buying what I needed and paused for a moment at the newspapers to look through them. I was standing there for a minute or two when suddenly I heard someone's voice right behind me.
"Clarke? "
Surprised, I turned behind me. There was a woman my mother's age in front of me. She had long black hair tied in a light ponytail. Her face was tired and slightly red. She was wearing old and slightly torn clothes, and a rag tote bag was thrown over her right arm.
"Yes? " I asked, slightly confused. "Excuse me, do we know each other? " I put the newspaper back in its place.
"We don't, but you know my son. " She said with a slight smile. "Which, by the way, tells me a lot about you. "
"Bellamy? " I asked. "Are you Bellamy's mom? " Woman nodded. "Oh my, it's so nice to meet you. " I gave the woman a greeting hand, which she shook. "Sorry, I didn't recognize you. "
"It's okay, nothing happened. It's the first time we're meeting. " A warm smile didn't come off her face.
"Right. " I tucked a lock of hair behind my ear. "Bellamy is telling you about me? Really?" I asked.
"Yes, a lot. I like when he tells me something. I can't see much for myself, you know our situation. " She added in a whisper to which I nodded. "I live on his stories. And from what I've noticed, he likes you very much. "
I felt myself blush so I lowered my head down.
Woman came up to me and lifted my chin up so I would look at her.
"I'm very happy about it. He deserved to be happy, and I know he's like that with you. "
"Thank you..." I said with a smile. "He... I'm happy with him too. He has completely changed my life, for the better, fortunately. " I was honest. "And how... How are you? "
" It's a little better, thank you. It's very nice that you ask. " Said and adjusted the bag on her shoulder.
"Maybe I'll help you? "
"No, it's okay, thank you, sweetheart. It's not that hard. Oh yeah... How's your birthday present? " She smiled again.
"Very good, it grows fast. " I laughed. "The best gift of my life. "
"I'm glad then. " Woman looked at her watch. "Oh my, I have to go now. Better not be late. "
"Okay, got it. I wish you all the best. "
"You too, sweetheart. " Woman stroked my cheek. "You know, I'm glad Bellamy has you. Take care of him. " She winked at me at which I laughed a little, and after a while woman went towards her home.

"Here you are. " My mom called and helped me with my groceries as I entered the house.
"Sorry, but I chatted a bit. " I put my shopping on the table. "Hi, little one. " I took the kitten in my arms and hugged him.
"Who did you talk to? " Woman asked and began to unpack the bag.
"Bellamy's mom. " I replied and looked at woman.
Abby stared at me in shock.
"Yes, I was surprised too. " I said. "She looked a bit better, she was already on her own... She's a really nice woman. "
"Yes, you're right. " My mother agreed with me.
"You know her well? " I asked.
"We went to school together. " She said. "We were friends, then she went to college, got married and moved back to here. At first everything was fine and we could meet for our girls' evenings, and sometimes I even went to their house, but well... Happiness didn't last too long. " Added sadly.
It must end. Good people like that can't live like this. We have to come up with a very good plan that will work one hundred percent.
When I helped my mother, I went to my room. Filutek slept on my bed. I sat down next to him, stroked him, then glanced at the phone. I took it and called Blake.
"Hey, princess. " I heard a familiar voice after a while. "Is my princess missed me? "
I laughed.
"Yes, your princess missed her prince. " I replied. "Will we meet? "
"Of course. " Said practically right away. "But I'm not sure if I can do it today. "
"Okay, we can do the next day. Anyway .. Bell, I met your mom at the store today. "
"Yeah, she told me. " He replied.
"You look very much like her. " I said with a slight smile on my lips.
"I hope I look more like her, than Gale." He laughed slightly and I returned.
"You're much more like your mom. " I agreed with that. "She's a really amazing person. "
"She praised you a lot too. " Boy said proudly.
"Really? What did she say? " I became interested.
"Disheveled, scruffy... " He started joking but I cut him off.
"Blake. " I laughed. "You know I even praised you? And you're telling me such things here? "I was joking.
"Ooooh, if so..." He laughed again. "She said you were the nicest person she has met. She also said that you got into your mom and asked you to greet her. And... She was so glad to meet you. "
"Me too. " I replied and looked at the still sleeping kitten. "Bell..." I started. Finally, I had to tell him the words that were constantly troubling me. But on the phone? "I have to tell you something, it's very important. " I added.
"I guess that's not for the phone call? "
"I'd rather not. " I replied. "I'll tell you everything as soon as we meet. "
"All right, princess. So we're contracts... " He began, but he paused, and there was some solid noise in the background.
"Bell? " I asked concerned. "Bell, what's going on? Everything's okay? "
"I'll call you back in twenty minutes. " He said quickly and hung up.
I felt shivers go over me. I was hoping that nothing like this had happened.
Only later I find out how wrong I was...
