Eddie POV
Saturday
I lay on my bed, shirtless, looking up at the roof vents of my trailer. Blowing smoke out of my mouth as my joint burns slowly in my fingertips and my free arm lays lazily across my mid rift, contemplating the most interesting week I've had in the last couple years with a smile on my face.
It's been a couple of days since I first saw Y/N in the cafeteria. She was alone, looking puzzled at the room before her while twirling a stick of celery in her hand. I must admit I was curious to meet her. It's not every day a beautiful girl walks into your life with a Def Leppard shirt on. I wasn't the only one who spotted her though. After she had caught me looking and run away, Ged had piped up.
"Oh look there, fresh meat" he had grinned. He's not always bad, but he has a condescending tone sometimes that really puts people off. "Munson, what do you think?" his eyes had moved to land on me after she had escaped the room.
"About what?" I had said, lost in thought, playing with my D20 as I wondered what she was thinking about while she looked around the room.
"The girl" he says, getting slightly annoyed at my spaciness, "God, Ed. You're supposed to be selling for Rick not sampling the product" he says slapping the back of my head, bringing me back to reality.
"Ow! I pay for my stuff man! Got to try the merchandise to be able to sell it" I joke, winking at Ged. "As for the girl, I think I'd like to meet her before I start making assumptions" I said before getting up to leave the table "I think she might be interested in joining hell fire".
So I got my bo-peeps on and I started looking for her, but I couldn't find her anywhere. I had almost given up hope when I went to the music rooms to pick up my guitar. Her voice was floating through the hallway melodic and earthy. The perfect voice to sing Heart. When I finally saw her, holding MY guitar, I knew it was a fateful meeting. Like two adventurers stumbling into each other at a tavern before a long quest.
The fact that she can sing is one thing BUT the way she plays guitar man. I'm hooked. I wonder what other music she likes, whether she just chose Dio and Ozzy because of me that day. I just want to know more about her.
I talked to Gareth and Jeff after that meeting about inviting her to jam with the band. They needed to see her shred on guitar, it was so cool. They've agreed to let her come jam with us. Some guys, like Ged, don't think girls can be in metal bands but they haven't seen the way SHE plays. I hope she decides to come I think to myself as I replay the memory of her mocking devil horns at me out the bus as I knelt in the dirt watching her go.
I turn to look out into my room, my precious electric guitar proudly displayed on the wall next to my book shelves where my own copies of The Lord of the Rings sit proudly with my D&D manuals. I hope she enjoys tomorrow, it's no fun being the 'freak', nomad, outcast. Maybe we can show her a place she can belong?
I sit up on the side of my bed, taking in the final dregs of my joint as I remember her giving me a rain check on hanging out. The weather is on the turn so my quiet place is out of the question, it's far too cold in October. Maybe she won't be adverse to driving somewhere in the van and lighting up. I think pondering the butt of my joint, before shaking my head, that has the possibility of having very creepy vibes. Sighing, I flop back down on my bed, staring back up to the vent as if it will give me the answers on to how to impress her.

Y/N POV
Sunday
I'm just arriving home after waking up with an impressive hangover at Steve's and helping him clean up. He drove me and Robin back to our houses, waving me off with a salute and a smile as Robin slouched, sunglasses on, half asleep in the passenger side. I walk up to my front door, it's now 9am and my dad is home.
"Good Morning Y/N, you look like you had a good time at your friends house" dad says chuckling at the sight of my very hungover face.
"Coffee, I need Coffee" I say, making my way to the kitchen almost Zombie like, to which he laughs.
"That good huh, well you'll be pleased to know I've put up those guitar mounts of yours in your new bedroom" he smiles as he returns to his paper.
Not sure if it's the coffee or his news I perk up, "Thanks Dad" I give him a big hug before bounding up the stairs to see his handy work.
I dump my bags of yesterday's purchases on the bed to look at the wall. Exactly where I had marked up there hung two mounts ready for my guitars. An acoustic and an electric, which will sit proudly in these mounts, there's space in the middle for my keyboard and my amp. Perfect fit. I busy myself with hanging my new Dio poster in the perfect spot alongside Def Leppard, Alice Cooper and Led Zeppelin. Then turning to my record player to listen to the Iron Maiden album I'd just got. It's only when I'm laying on my bed listening to the second or third song, staring at the ceiling that I clock what time it is, 11:15.
"FUCK!" I sit bolt upright in bed, hangover forgotten as I realise I have 45 minutes to get ready and get the fuck to the school for my first D&D campaign in Hawkins, "Fuck, fuck fuck fuck.......fuckkkkk" I huff as I tear through my wardrobe to find something cool to wear. Why did it have to be today, I don't want to look like a mess in front of Eddie. "Fucking, shit, bastard, JESUS H CHRIST" I continue as I run to the bathroom to shower, hearing my dad laughing at my distress from downstairs. I'm dressed and fluffing my hair by 11:45. Grabbing my character binder and dice bag I haul ass down the stairs to rush my dad out the door so I can get to the school in time.
