Eddie POV

I had been wracking my brain all morning about how I was going to make up for all of this. She asked me for space, so I should give it to her. She doesn't deserve the emotional whiplash I've given her already. Right now, I just want her to know how sorry I am.

I had started making her a mixtape a few weeks ago, carefully curating the perfect playlist of songs that reminded me of us. Of her. Maybe this is the perfect time to give it to her? I get to work finishing the tape eager to have it ready to give to her at Hell Fire tomorrow.

The phone rings in the living room, Wayne answers. There are muffled voices followed by him calling for me; "Eddie! It's Ged!" What does he want? He hardly ever calls. I scrunch my face in confusion before shifting to get up off the bed, wincing at the movement. I don't think there is a single comfortable position I can be in right now, my whole body aches.

"Hey, what's up?" I say as casually as possible trying not to let the pain ride through my voice.

"Hey Eds, here's the thing... I think you should give Hell Fire a miss tomorrow"

"WHAT?" What the hell? Why?

"Well I heard you had a pretty big fight with Ariadne and well..."

"Why do you call her that?" I interrupt.

"Why do I call her what?" he asks perplexed.

"Ariadne. That's not her name, it's Y/N. Why do you call her by her character name outside of the campaign?"

"I don't know man, I guess it's just our thing." What? Their thing? Since when? Last I checked she won't even sit near Ged at lunch.

"Sureeee, whatever man. Anyway what was your point?"

"Well... The rest of us want her to be part of our guild. You're going to ruin all our chance with her! Just be the bigger man here Munson, just sit it out this weekend"

"The bigger man? You've got to be kidding me?" What is with this guy?

"Look, just this once okay?" He asks, trying to be diplomatic. Ha! Diplomatic my ass. I shift my weight, another raw muscle twisting painfully in response, reaching out I try to balance myself on the nearby wall.

"Okay Ged. Just this week thou. I'm not feeling too hot today anyway" Part of me is relieved for the extra day of rest, hopefully by Monday I'll be able to breathe without it feeling like I've inhaled a whole box of broken glass.

"You're a saint Munson, a real saint. Don't worry we'll look after her"

Click.

Before I can respond he hangs up.

I shuffle back to my room, gently sitting on my bean bag and cradling my acoustic guitar. The guitar that had enabled us to meet in the first place. She needs the space, maybe missing out on Hell Fire tomorrow is for the best. All I want right now is to distract myself, I lay my head back on the soft chair, groaning at the smallest movement as I feel the bruises on me deepen and clench at my sides. Fucking Billy is a psycho man. I think, as I try to think up a plan to win Y/N back next week.

Y/N POV

"He did WHAT?! I'll fucking kill him" gawked an outraged Steve, now out of his work clothes, sat opposite me and Robin in the food court. "Did you know about this?" he points his fries accusingly at Robin.

"No I had no idea" She was equally as shocked as Steve, just looking at me, sympathy in her eyes.

"Why didn't you call me Y/N... I would of come and got you"
