Eddie POV

I drove around for a while after dropping Y/N off, enjoying my freedom. Not that Wayne has been holding me captive or anything, I've been so weak for the last couple of days that even just driving felt so freeing.

I rolled the windows down and let the autumn breeze whip my hair around like crazy. Knowing she had forgiven me felt like a whole weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I couldn't help but let my mind wander back to that kiss.

She looked so hot sitting on me like that. Her kiss was eager and made me feel so wanted. I can't believe she really came to check on me. That she was worried about me. Her hands running through my hair and pulling me closer just made me want her more as I drew her close to me. She felt like heaven.

When we finally came up for air I didn't want her to move but she could tell I was in pain. She can always tell. Even that day in the canteen when no one else knew, she did.

"Oh, am I hurting you?" She had fretted, shifting her weight from my lap to her knees to hover above my legs.

"Who? Me?" I smiled at her weakly. "No, I'm perfect. You are perfect" I reach up to cup her face looking into those worried eyes. They instantly softened at my touch. I love that. That she doesn't flinch away. She continued to look at me, worry still threatening the lines of her face. Although she was trying her hardest to hide it. "Can I ask you something?" I feel her weight shift again as she sat back on my lap, eyes wandering to my shoulders where she fiddled with my hair.

"Is it something bad?" She mumbles, not meeting my eyes.

"I don't know if I'd call it bad. But you don't have to answer it if you don't want to..." I dip my head a little trying to catch her attention back to me. She turns, moving her hand up to softly stroke her thumb across my bruised cheek.

"What's your question?" She asks, watching her thumb.

"You said Steve SAVED you from Ged after Hellfire. What was he doing to you?" I ask. She's been bottling this up for so long, not telling anyone about it. I might not be able to hurt him right now but I can at least let her talk about it.

"Oh" she seemed surprised, looking up at me. "Well I was outside after the campaign smoking..." She told me everything, how Ged had made her feel uncomfortable, wouldn't take no for an answer, grabbed her jaw and tried to kiss her. Even how he'd headbutted Steve and stormed off. I could feel the anger in me simmering as she finished her story.

But my anger didn't boil over like before, because sat on my lap was an angel. The sweetest girl I'd ever known and she had sad eyes because of some dickhead I had introduced into her life. And she, she didn't need me to run out of here and beat him senseless, she had Steve and Billy on that case. No, she needed me to be here with her, hold her and listen. She needed to vent.

Tears had threatened her eyes the whole time and when she was done I hauled her in for the biggest bear hug of her life, her arms instinctively wrapping around my shoulders. I just wanted her to feel safe and protected.

"I'll never let him near you again" I whisper to her as her whole body shudders from the final dam break of tears escaping. "Just let it out okay, I'm here. You're safe." I coo as I stroke her back.

"I'm sorry" She sniffles after a few minutes, sitting back to look at me. "I got your hair all wet" She softly fusses with the little wet patch on my hair.

"Don't worry Sweetheart" I say wiping tears from under her eyes "I like it this way, the salt water helps with the curls" I wink. That gets a little smile from her and I can't help but feel a spark of pride that I managed to help her smile after all that. "Come on, let's get comfy and put these movies on, okay?"
