Danny's POV
I was bawling my eyes out crying in front of my mom. "Why? Come on! At least make it a Manager position." I begged my mom.
She just looked at me impatiently. "I'm not Amber, that's not going to work on me." mom said, making me sigh sitting up straight in the car. I wiped my face. "Come on this is bullshit. How do you expect me to work as a housekeeper? I bloody own this shit." I said wiping my face and fixing my makeup. Well I knew crying was a long shot. I think this is the reason only mom is here because if I had cried in front of Mama she would have melted and I would be back with my credit card in Paris spending money on girls.
"Here are your apartment keys, be happy you're living in a nice building. If it were up to me, I would have put you up in a crappy house. I only agreed because Amber wanted you to live in a secured place. You will be getting a simple monthly allowance. No one here knows you are my daughter and keep it that way otherwise say bye bye to 50 percent of your allowance." I looked at the figure of my allowance.
"The hell? This is peanuts. I can't even buy the cheapest LV bag with this. Also I'm famous, everyone knows me." I said with a smirk.
"Why do you need to buy a LV bag? You have no parties to attend, you're here to work. Not party. Also dear you think too highly of yourself." Mom said as she kicked me out of the car. The Driver had already taken out all my bags. "You know where the hotel is, go there tomorrow at 7 am. Ms Kang will explain you everything about work." She said and rolled up the window not letting me get a word in as she drove off. I looked around to see if there was anyone to help me but there wasn't.
I put on my backpack as I rolled the huge suitcase behind me. I looked at the key to see the apartment number. I went straight to the building reception. On my way as I entered the building I saw a group of teenagers standing outside. There were older people too that looked like pap's.
No way this is because of me. I still pulled up my mask as I entered the building. I should have never learnt Korean. I should have known moms would go and do something like this.
"Hi, can you help me please?" I said as soon as I was in the hearing shot of the receptionist.
"Good evening ma'am, how can I help you?" the guy said with a smile.
"Well can you tell me how to go get to apartment number 4005?" I asked, looking at the key fob.
"Sure, but can I know what this is regarding?" He asked.
"I'm the owner," I said. He smiled and nodded as he whispered something to the person next to him. "Please follow me." he said and I nodded. "Let me help you with the bag" he said and I gave him my suitcase.
"The gym is on the top floor. Your key fob will help you access it. There is a pool on the 4th floor open from 6am to 8pm. If you need any assistance related to maintenance work you can call the reception. All the important numbers are written next to the intercom." He said as he held the elevator doors open for me. "Thank you" I said as I looked at which floor he pressed. Ok I guess it was 40th I should have known that.
"What's with that crowd outside?" I asked out of curiosity. "We have a couple of idols living all over the property. You don't have to worry about security. They won't be able to enter the gates." he said as we stopped in front of what I was guessing was my new house. I thanked him as he left.
That whole conversation was soo confusing. "What's an idol?" I opened the apartment door with the key. I pushed the suitcase inside as I quickly set up the code for the lock.
I turned on the lights to see it was a decent sized apartment. I put the bag on the couch and looked out the window. I had a view of the Han River, which was nice. I looked around to see a couple of doors. It was a 4 bedroom apartment with a study, laundry room and a fully equipped kitchen. The first thing I did was turn on my laptop and call her highness. Placing the laptop when she could see the view.
