Chapter 16

Ryujin's POV

I waved at Spencer who was standing near the door talking on the phone. As I walked closer to her she stopped me. She said her goodbyes and ended the call.

"What happened? Did something happen to her?" I asked worriedly.

"No no she's stable but still not up. The doctors said the effects of the sedative should have already worn off so she can wake up anytime." I nodded to that and replied, "That idiot has been saying the same thing since yesterday." I sighed as he told me this yesterday when I was here.

It has been 5 days since the surgery. They had moved her to a normal room as she was out of the danger zone for now. We won't know more until she wakes up.

"That's not the reason I stopped you. Eun-Kyung is there with her daughter. Plus I wanted to warn you. The rest of our family is going to be here today later." She said and I looked at her confused. I thought her entire family was already here. "Extended family. They can be a bit much." She quickly added and I just nodded.

"Got it, I'll leave early." I said and yawned. Quickly covering my mouth. "Sorry about that." I said embarrassed.

"When was the last time you slept?" she asked me out of nowhere.

"I have slept just been a hectic week." I said lying. Before Spencer could say anything Eun-kyung unnie came out with So-ra. I gave her a soft smile and subtle bow. She did the same and then I looked at So-ra. "Hi" I said with a smile and she gave me a shy wave. This was the third time I was seeing her and the first time she actually waved.

"I'll leave, I gotta get back to work." Unnie said and I just nodded and waved bye to her. I entered the room and sat down on the chair near the bed.

"Since you're here I'll go to the hotel. I need to set up a few things before they get here." Spencer said and I nodded.

Once she closed the door and left I looked at Danny. The bruising on her cheek had lessened. I quickly sanitized my hands.

"Hi," I said as I held her hand.

"I don't know if you know this but your extended family is coming today. Spencer told me well and warned me about them being a bit too much. I had an interview today. They asked about you. I told them we have been friends for a long time." I sighed remembering the interview. "I didn't know what else to say. Now we both are trending online.

They're trying to find every piece of evidence they can to show how we are best of friends. Also they are linking you up with Eun-kyung unnie now as she was with you when....you know what I mean. Don't worry, I'm sure your company will take care of it." I interlocked our hands as I leaned in closer to and put my head on the bed. "I haven't been sleeping well..." I shook my head stopping myself from telling her about my fears.

I read online that people who are coming back from a brain surgery can still hear everything.

I hadn't been sleeping well. Every time I closed my eyes I felt like something bad was going to happen to Danny. So instead of sleeping I spent all my time working and whatever free time I had I came and spent it with Danny.

"The new album is doing well. I told them I wanted to push the tour a bit ahead but no one's listening to me. Well I already knew it wasn't possible. I wrote a new song last night." I was out of topics to talk about so I just looked at her steady breathing as the monitor slowly beeped assuring me Danny is doing alright.

I don't know how I dozed off but whispering woke me up. I looked up to see the Princess I saw on my TV multiple times.

"God I seriously need to sleep more. I have even started to hallucinate now." I said to myself as I put my head down again. I heard someone chuckle which made me look up again.
