The Mess We Made

Chapter 12

Ryujin's POV

I just got out of the shower and heard my phone ring. While wearing my clothes I answered it.

"Baby where are you? Come home for dinner everyone's coming" I heard the person on the other line say.

"Baby? Excuse me?" I said, confused as Danny got out of the shower with a towel wrapped. "Whos this?" I asked confused.

"Who are you?" the other person asked.

"You called me so you tell me first." I said I was really confused.

"I called my daughter" Daughter? I looked at the number on the phone to realize it was saved as 'Mom'.

"Oh Shit!" I mumbled. "Danny this is your phone" I said and threw the phone at her like it was a ticking bomb. "What?" she said, startled. She almost dropped the phone as the throw was too sudden. But then her expression changed quickly as she realized what happened. "Hi Mom" she said with a chirpy voice pretending nothing happened.

"I'm busy so I can't come to dinner. I will see you tomorrow at the party. Bye Love you" she said and then hung up throwing the phone on the bed.

"What did she say?" I asked worried.

"Nothing other than the fact that she wants me to come home for dinner as my entire family was there. She knows about you because of Alfie. I think I might get interrogated tomorrow." she sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"I need to change my phone" I said looking at her and then my phone. It was the exact same phone and we both didn't have a cover on. I texted my manager unnie to buy me a phone cover. Anything would be fine, just keep it simple. I got thumbs up in reply. I closed my eyes and put my hands on my head worried.

"Chill, don't worry nothing's going to happen. She will just ask me a few questions about you. Mama is the possessive one. I will just need to handle her."

"Just tell her I'm your girlfriend if that helps solve the problem. I don't want them to have a bad impression of me." I said biting my nail.

"Chill, I can handle it don't worry."  She said and stopped me from biting my nails. She wore trousers and a loose shirt. She went out for a second and came back with a bag. "Wear this and come to the upper deck." I took the bag as she left. It was the other dress I liked but didn't buy. This girl. I just smiled and shook my head.

I wore the dress and went upstairs to see it was dark outside. I checked the time to see it was 6 pm. God the time goes quickly when you're having a good time. I saw there was a candle light dinner setup. It was beautiful. "Ahh you're here. The dinner will be served sit down" she said and pulled out a chair for me. I sat down and she opened the bottle of champagne. "Cheers to your new album being a success" she said and poured me a glass. "Cheers to us" I said and clinked our glass.

The waiter kept getting dishes one by one. We had a silent dinner. Well to be honest when there is food in front of me I prefer to just focus on it. Once the dinner was done she grabbed my hand "Come here" I picked up my champagne glass and followed her "Close your eye" I did as she asked.

"1...2...3... opened your eyes" she said and I did. In front of us was a sparkling Eiffel tower. "I told you it looks prettier at night." I was mesmerized by the view when I heard a shutter go off.

I turned around to see Danny was clicking a photo of me. "It's just you look really beautiful" she said with a shy smile.

"Click a proper photo." I said with a smile and posed. She clicked a couple of pictures. She then put on some music. Putting her arms around my waist we slowly started swaying to the music. She kissed my cheek and we continued looking at the view.
