Hunter opened his eyes, and reached to check his phone. He and MagicmanicG had been talking for the last few days now, and he looked forward to their conversations everyday. No new messages. He sighed.
Goldenguard1786: do u have a job

MagicmanicG: I'm not going to tell u.

Goldenguard1786: you don't have a job, do you?

MagicmanicG: I'm a freelancer.

Goldenguard1786: huh. Ok.

MagicmanicG: wby?

Goldenguard1786: coffee shop barista.

Goldenguard1786: classic.

Hunter sighed, and rubbed his eyes. It was 1 am in the morning, and he was still talking to MagicmanicG.
"Does this kid ever sleep?!" He thought to himself.
All of the sudden his phone buzzed.
It was a call.
One of the university's that he had applied for, was calling him.
He quickly answered.
"Hello?" He asked.
"Hi. This is the university of California. We would like to let you know, that your application has been accepted, and your scholarship is being processed. We will get back to you as soon as you know more." The line went dead.
He was going to college.
He.
Was.
Going.
To.
College.
Holy.
Shit.
Hunter couldn't contain himself. He was practically jumping around the room with joy. He immediately texted Luz.
Hunter: I'm going to college!!
Luz: omg really?!
Hunter: yes!!! California here I come!!
Luz: I cannot wait to see you!!!
Hunter: same!!!
Luz: have to go. Hangry gf 😕
Hunter could hardly believe it. Wow.

Gus walked into the owl house cafe around 3:45, only to find the cute barista in a rapid conversation with Eda.
Gus ignored that, and walked up to the counter.
"Hi." He said.
The boy glanced at him, said something to Eda, and then responded.
"How can I help you, strange magician." He asked.
"Heh. I actually wanted to apologize for that weird joke the other day." His said, scratching his head.
"Yeah.. it was weird." The barista replied.
"What's your name?" Gus asked.
"Hunter." Hunter replied.
God... even his name was hot.
"Could you forget about what I said?" Gus
"Um.. sure? Why are you making such a big deal out of this?" Hunter asked.
"Oh.. no reason." Gus said, blushing profusely.
Willow walked up behind Gus, and saved him just in time.
"Sorry. He gets really nervous sometimes. He's not great with human interaction." Willow said, and whisked him off to the nearest table.
"What are you doing!?" She asked.
"Trying to make friends with hunter." He said.
Willow let out a long sigh.
"Gus.. I hate to break it too you, but he is an absolute gay disaster." She said.
"He's gay?!" Gus said. His day had just gotten a lot better.
"Yes. He told me in high school. His uncle who raised him is super homophobic. If you go crushing on him, it's not going to work out. Trust me." She finished.
Gus sighed.
He didn't have a crush on him.
Right?
