~Back to Lavenders pov~
Cherry and I follow Marcia out to the parking lot. Ponyboy and Johnny are out there dancing together! They look so cute as a couple! Two-Bit and Marcia leave to go back to the gym.
Johnny and Ponyboy look our way. Cherry and I grab each other's hands to show that we're a couple.
"You two are together?" They ask in unison.
"Sure are!" Cherry says with a smile.
"So are we!" Ponyboy points to Johnny.
"Guess it's a gay party out here then!" I yell.
Ponyboy and Johnny return to dancing together. Cherry curtsies and holds out her hand. "May I have this dance?" She asks and I take her hand.
We can hear White Christmas by Bing Crosby playing from inside the gym. Cherry looks so pretty in the moonlight. Snowflakes keep getting caught in her long eyelashes. She places a soft kiss on my forehead and I hold her close, knowing that she is finally mine. I savor this moment, where none of us have to pretend.
