Kaori

I opened my eyes and found myself in a place I had never seen before. It was dark and desolate. I looked around, and all I saw was dead trees everywhere. I saw a tree that was alive among the rest and started walking towards it. I gasped once I was in front of it. Black roses were growing on the tree. I didn't understand why a tree was growing black roses. The only one I knew who had these was Apollymi.

"Hello, little one." I spun around a weapon in my hand.

I saw a man who I didn't know. Blonde hair and glowing eyes.

"Who are you?" I let the weapon vanish because I didn't feel like I had anything to fear from him.

"Interesting that you let your weapon disappear. Do you think I won't hurt you, little one?" I tilted my head.

"Who are you?" He smiled at me.

"Figure it out, little one." I narrowed my eyes and then looked at the tree of black roses. I saw something carved into the tree. Initials. I reached my hand out and let my fingers glide over the carving. It was a K and a B next to each other. I looked back at the man, and narrowed my eyes at him.

"Why would there be black roses here? I only know of one being who has them," I saw a glint of sadness in his eyes, "wait."

I looked down and thought about Apollymi's past. I remembered she had thought Archon was her first love reincarnated, but that had been a lie. I looked up at the man in front of me.

"Kissare," he smiled at me, "how is this possible? What is this place? Why haven't you been reincarnated?"

He chuckled, "one question at a time, little one. I haven't been reincarnated because I had to wait. For the right person to be the one to birth me."

I tilted my head, and narrowed my eyes at him. I gasped and took a step back.

"Me," I couldn't believe what I was hearing, and scowled when he started laughing, "this isn't funny. That would complicate so much, it would be weird. Wait, why me?"

He wiped his eyes, "I have watched you. The moment you came into your own body, your own powers I awoke. I soon learned what you had done for my Braith, and her son. What you did because the goddess whose body you possessed was a monster. I could not ask for a better being to birth me so I may be reunited with my Apollymi."

I gasped and looked at the tree. Then I looked back at him, "I will have twins?"

He smiled and nodded, "yes, but my life will not be bound to your daughters. I will also grow faster. I ask that you do not tell her. Not until I am fully grown and regain my memories."

I bit my lip and looked at the ground, then I looked up at him.

"It will be an honor, Kissare. Your Apollymi has been through a lot, and she may not believe me on my own. In fact I know she will not at first not after what Archon did. He lied saying he was you." I could see the anger flare in his eyes.

"She isn't alone anymore though. She has her son, me, and many allies on her side. I am honored to be the one to birth you." I stepped closer to him, looking up at him.

I smiled up at him, he held my face in his hands.

"Thank you, little one. For being willing," I nodded, "I would do anything for her. If it meant she would be truly happy again. She has been alone for long enough."

He smiled down at me, "you are a wonderful daughter."

I gasped in surprise, "how did you know?"
