Chapter 13: Max, The Mind Demon

**Note: Each character's fight will all start when they charge in the beginning of the war**

The horn blows and Max quickly runs towards Khan, having his sword out and ready while Khan summoned a double sided axe made of ice.

Max teleports from side to side, trying to make his movements unpredictable to Khan, but Khan quickly picked up on Max's pattern and swung his axe directly towards Max. With his sword, Max swung at Khan's axe, shattering it before it could've struck him. "Long time no see Max, I was beginning to think you wouldn't show up to this war!" Khan said. "I wouldn't miss killing you twice!" Max said.

"Ice Shower!" Khan said, making icicles fall from the sky and towards Max. Max quickly sliced every single icicle into shards on the ground. "The vision that you had back then, was it about this war!?" Khan asked. "Yes, but it isn't the same outcome... in the vision you were on our side!" Max said.

"Well looks like you're going to experience this outcome instead!" Khan said. "Ice Clone!" Khan added as he summoned a clone of himself made up of ice. "Flame Fists!" Max said. They all rush towards each other, but Max teleports in between Khan and his clone and managed to kick them both far from each other.

"What's the matter, to quick for you?!" Max asked. Khan looked smug as he looked behind Max. The ice clone was about to swing an axe at Max from behind but Max quickly jumped out of the way, without looking what was behind him. Max quickly leaped towards the ice clone and punched it, shattering it into pieces.

Suddenly, a large icicle was thrown at Max but he was able to catch before it hit him in his chest. Max spun then threw it back towards Khan which did hit him in the chest. "Do you really think my own ice can kill me!?" Khan asked as he absorbed the ice back into his body. "Worth a shot!" Max said as he sprinted towards Khan again. "Pull!" Max said as Khan was immediately pulled towards him.

Max kicks Khan right in the stomach, then slams him into the ground, making Khan cough out blood. "Freezing Cold!" Khan said as he fired a beam of freezing air, accidentally freezing the demons on his side.

"Broken Mind!" Max said, knocking out Khan in an instant. Khan instantly snapped out of the ability and punched Max back onto his back, making him get a nosebleed. "What's the matter, you had the upper hand!" Khan said as he mocked Max. Max jumped back up and kicked Khan into the air.

Max teleported above Khan and kicked him back down. "Catastrophic Flames!" Max said as he aimed his palm down to Khan. Khan wasn't able to react fast enough so he was strucked down by Max's flames. "Ice... Barrier.!!" Khan said as he struggled to make his barrier. Max made a clone and switched spots with it, letting Max dive down while the clone kept firing.

Max teleported next the ice barrier Khan made and quickly shatters it, letting the beam enter the barrier. Max signals the clone to stop and disappear so Max could see if Khan was alive, but there was no trace of him.

Suddenly, ice began to rise from Max's feet and began to rapidly rise to his shoulders. "What the?!" Max said. "Poor Max, you thought you were going to win... and this fight was very short... I expected more!" Khan said as he summoned his axe again. At this rate, the coldness wa beginning to affect Max. "And I'm not the only one who isn't satisfied Max, such a disappointment... you'll die here and let all your friends down!" Khan added as he placed his axe on Max's neck.

Max's life began to flash before his eyes and began to see moments from the past.

"Hey, I may be a demon, but I'm not a monster, us demons have a good side ya' know, well except Archdemons like Jackal." Khan said. I couldn't sense any hostile motive from him, so I lowered my guard.
