Chapter 16: Consumed In Darkness

The horn blows so both Sean and Kathy quickly sprint towards The Shadowman, having his chained sword swinging and her sickles ready meanwhile The Shadowman floated towards them, and his tentacles swung and shoved some demons.

"You kids never learn anything!" The Shadowman said as he directed his tentacles towards the siblings. Sean flew to the left and Kathy flew to the right, making The Shadowman pick one or the other.

Sean threw his chained sword towards The Shadowman at an alarming speed, while Kathy got up close to him with her sickles. "Dark Whirlwind!" Kathy said as she spun at him, clashing her sickles and his tentacles, distracting him from Sean. "Nice work Kathy!" Sean said. Distracted, The Shadowman gets Sean sword stabbed through his side.

The Shadowman wrapped his tentacles around Kathy and held her with a tight grip, turning his attention now to Sean. "Dark Crystal Shards!" The Shadowman said as he fired multiple shards towards Sean, but Sean managed to spin his chained sword so fast, that the shards shattered before they could hit him.

"You've improved Sean, but I'm still not impressed, you're still going to die, alongside your sister!" The Shadowman said as he began to slowly crush Kathy. "Sean!!" Kathy yelled with fear in her eyes.

Sean began to feel his bloodlust and adrenaline increase dramatically. His eyes began to twitch, his veins began to pop out, and his chained sword began to show glowing symbols.

"There we go, be fucking vulnerable to your anger." The Shadowman said under his breath. Kathy overheard and tried to free at least one of her arms.

"Eternal Darkness, Dark Blade!" Sean said. "Eternal Darkness? This can't be good!" The Shadowman said. "Godspeed!" Sean added, changing his chained sword to his old sword. The Shadowman's eyes widened after hearing that.

Sean, in the blink of an eye, vanished into thin air, then appeared behind The Shadowman, so he swung his sword through the tentacle that held Kathy. "How in the 7 rings did you master Godspeed!?" The Shadowman asked.

"Shut the hell up!" Sean said with no emotion whatsoever, disappearing into thin air again. The Shadowman looked around, trying to figure out Sean's pattern, but to his surprise, Sean was too fast for his eyes.

"Dark Phoenix!" Sean said from behind, hitting The Shadowman.

Sean then appeared infront of The Shadowman and bolted towards him with his sword covered in his flames. Before Sean could hit The Shadowman, he suddenly collapsed onto his knees and gasped very heavy for air.

"Ahh, so you didn't master Godspeed, I was worried for a second!" The Shadowman said. "Get away from him!" Kathy said as she leaped onto The Shadowman's shoulders, stabbing her sickles deep in his shoulders.

"Why you little bastard!" The Shadowman said, punching Kathy in her face... but Kathy didn't budge, she stayed on top of his shoulders even though she was being hit.

Sean looked up, still gasping for air and noticed Kathy was starting to struggle. He picked up his sword and began to sprint towards them while his lungs felt extremely empty. "Dark Blade!" Sean said as he tried to speak.

The Shadowman noticed Sean was headed towards them, so he grabbed Kathy and slammed her to the ground with a large impact. "Kathy!!" Sean yelled, right before leaping into the air.

Sean swings his sword but The Shadowman catches it by the blade and punches him directly in the stomach, making him fall to the ground. "Look at you two, on the ground like pathetic worms, thinking they were going to win!" The Shadowman said.

Kathy and Sean both slowly stood back up, still struggling, even with most of their bones being broken. "Still have the strength to fight I see!" The Shadowman said.
