Chapter 30: One By One

As Alexander held Tyler, Chris and Luke attacked Raphael and tried to overwhelm him. "Tyler, get up. We're not done yet!" Alexander said. "I'm going... damn these needles are irritating!" Tyler said as he stood up.

"Alexander, I will make a platform rise so you can attack Raphael from above while I'll distract him with Chris and Luke!" Tyler said. "Got it, raise the platform now!" Alexander said, making Tyler summon the platform. Alexander gets into position, and Tyler quickly runs to Chris.

"Luke, Chris, make an opening for Alexander!" Tyler yelled as he pointed at Alexander on a platform. I nodded, quickly summoning two ring swords and throwing them at Raphael. "This type of weapon is pathetic. They never work!" Raphael said as he smacked them out of the air. "Depends on the user!" I said as I summoned another pair and threw them again, this time piercing them in his back.

Irritated, Raphael was about to rush me, but Luke quickly used his thunderbolts to shock him to the ground. "Alexander now!" Luke said as he continued to shock Raphael. Raphael looked up to see Alexander charging his attack. "Catastrophic Flames!!" Alexander said, burning up Raphael in his flames. "Catastrophic Thunderbolts!" Luke and I both said, adding to the attack. "Fiery Destruction!" Tyler added.

All we could hear were screams that echoed around us in pain, as all of our powers were overwhelmed. "Keep going... until he's turned into ashes... even if it hurts!!" I said as I started to feel my arms getting numb.

"Holy Trinity: Holy Spirit!!" Raphael said in the middle of our attacks.

As we continued firing our blasts, I suddenly felt a chill down my spine, as if someone was breathing behind me. "Missed me..." A whisper said behind me. I stopped my attack and looked behind me to see Raphael bulkier and taller, and before I could react, he kicked me up toward Alexander, which knocked him off the platform.

Tyler and Luke stopped their attacks and tried to rush Raphael but were quickly knocked back to the ground with just a wave of Raphael's hand.

"How the hell did you survive that?!" Tyler asked. "I swapped places with a nearby demon so those screams you heard weren't even my own, and while using an audio illusion, I made it sound like I was in the middle when I used my Holy Trinity ability!" Raphael said as he slowly walked towards us.

"Looks like we need to keep an eye out for tricks!" Luke said as he summoned his bow and fired a variety of arrows. Raphael sprinted away from the arrows and ran around us. Tyler quickly summoned his Ice Axe and sprinted to get in front of Raphael's path. He swung the axe as fast as he could, but Raphael slid under the axe and punched Tyler right in the stomach, making him cough out blood as it launched him into the air.

"Chris, Alexander, wake up!!" Luke said as he quickly shocked us awake. "What happened? Where's Tyler?!" I asked. Luke pointed into the air, and I saw Raphael teleporting above Tyler.

"Oh, he's not getting the chance!" I said, teleporting next to Raphael, kicking him away from Tyler. I quickly teleported Tyler next to Luke while staying in the air so I could face Raphael alone.

"Aw, come on, you ruined the fun!" Raphael said as he smiled. "Oh, don't worry, the fun is just getting started!" I said as I summoned my chains and bolted at him while he summoned his large sword.

"So I've heard you're a Blood Demon. How does that work?!" Raphael said as he swung his sword against my chains. "Drinking other demons' blood gives me their powers and increases my strength, depending on their strength level!" I said as I kept swinging my chains, trying to at least hook them into his skin.

"Very interesting, if only us angels had powerful abilities like you demons, but were stuck with limited numbers of them!" Raphael said. "You guys only have a certain amount. What types?!" I asked as my chains were about to wrap around him.
