Chapter 32: Corrupted Chris's True Self

Paraclete, without any hesitation, bolted at Corrupted Chris but was quickly intervened by Camille kicking him away from him. "Follow my lead!" Camille said as she bolted behind Paraclete. Max and Luke quickly followed behind her.

As Paraclete tried to keep his balance after that kick, Camille appeared in front of him just to give him another kick to the ground, but was blocked with his arms. "Power!" Paraclete said with no emotion on his face. Camille was confused and backed away from Paraclete. "Thundering Dash!" Luke said as he bolted to Paraclete, swinging his fist but was instantly blocked.

"Speed!" Paraclete said, again with no emotion, confusing Luke as well. "Why is he like this!?" Camille asked. "He's studying us... he's trying to find what our strengths are so he can counter them!" Max said. Paraclete kicked Luke away from him and turned his head towards Max with his blank, emotionless face. "Brains!" He said, suddenly closing his eyes.

"Keep your guards up! And don't lose sight of him!" Max said as he held his sword in front of him. Paraclete instantly vanished, and as Max and the others looked around for him, Paraclete appeared behind Max and swung his fist at an alarming speed, not giving Max enough time to react so he braced for impact.

Paraclete's fist suddenly stopped, inches away from Max's face, and as Max opened his eyes, he noticed Camille's strings holding back Paraclete but was struggling to keep him still. "Thunderbolt Barrage!" Luke said, firing large thunderbolts to Paraclete's body. "Flame Fists!" Max said as he began to punch Paraclete in the face countless times as Camille and Luke were keeping him still.

"This is fun!" Paraclete said, quickly grabbing Max's fist with his teeth and grabbing Camille's string so he could pull her closer. Max tried to break free from Paraclete's teeth but struggled to do so as it kept tightening, almost ripping his hand off. Luke quickly bolted towards them and sliced through Max's wrist and Camille's strings with his sword to let them free.

"Good idea, just give me a warning before you attack me!" Max said as he instantly regenerated his hand back. "If I warned you, he would've heard you and would try to avoid me!" Luke said.

"Dark Heart!" Camille said, knocking Paraclete to his knees. "Max, Luke, hurry up and kill him! I don't think this would hold him any longer!" Camille said. "Thundering Slash!" Luke said as the swinging of his sword gave the sound of thunder stricking down. "Flaming Blade!" Max said as his sword emited into flames.

Both of their swords clashed onto Paraclete's neck, but the blades weren't able to go through. They both yelled as loud as they could, trying to push their blades into his neck. "Come on! We have to slice through!!" Max said as he kept increasing his strength.

Slowly, Paraclete began to stand up as the blades were on his neck, not feeling them at all. "Shit! He's too strong!" Luke said as their blades weren't moving anymore. "Eternal Dark Heart!" Camille said, increasing the ability's strength and making Paraclete ooze blood from his mouth. "Thundering Flame Slash!!" Luke said, trying again to slice through. "Catastrophic Flaming Blade!" Max added to it.

"Enough." Paraclete whispered, suddenly launching Max and Luke into the air and reversing Camille's ability onto her, making her fall to her knees and cough out blood. Paraclete leaped into the air just to grab both Max and Luke, then slamming them down with great impact, breaking a couple of bones. "Are you really the demons that my father warned us about? This is really pathetic!" Paraclete stated as his face suddenly showed an annoyed face.

"I'll make this quick and painless!" Paraclete added as he summoned a spear, but instead of a single blade at the end, it's an axe shaped blade and began walking towards them. As he got close, Paraclete lifted his spear and swung it at the blink of an eye. Max accepted his fate and closed his eyes, but all he heard was the sound of two blades clashing.
