"Babe, are you okay?" Den asked her girlfriend, na kanina pa hindi mapakali.
"Y-yeah, I'm good," Alyssa answered. They're on their way going to the church na pinuntahan nila when they were in Singapore for SEA Games 2015.
"Parang hindi ka kasi mapakali dyan," Den said, but inside her, she's nervous din, "nature call?" Den whispered.
"Nooo," Alyssa answered, "I'm fine babe, promise."
"Okay, babe. I wish the church is open though," sabi naman ni Den.
"Yeah," Alyssa all could say, she's practicing her speech in her mind but she keeps getting lost in the middle of it, "fuck it," she told herself.
When they arrived at the church, it's open to the public naman and there are a lot of tourists din. Pumasok muna sila sa loob to pray before going around.
"How about ulitin natin yung picture natin before babe? Like as in exact pose and place?" Tanong ni Den.
Alyssa nodded, "let's do that."
Hinahanap nila yung exact place where they took the photo.
For Den, she'll propose to Alyssa after taking the picture.
"Move ka konti dito sa right babe," sabi ni Ly, siya kasi yung tumatantsa where to place the camera.
"Here?" Den asked when she moved to the side.
"Yup! Okay dyan ka lang, I'll set the timer na, 10 seconds 'to," Alyssa said.
Instead of hitting the timer button, Alyssa pressed the record button. Before going to Den, she heavily sighed.
"Bilis naman babe," sabi ni Den kasi naglalakad lang si Alyssa.
"8, 7, 6," bilang ni Alyssa habang katabi niya si Den.
"5, 4, 3," tuloy niya.
"2..."
"1..."
Nagtaka pa si Den when she didn't hear the capture sound kaya tumingin siya kay Alyssa only to see her girlfriend holding a ring in front of her.
"Hi," Alyssa said when Den looked at her, "video yun, kasi I want to capture this moment..." kinakabahang sabi ni Alyssa, "I... God I swear I have a speech in mind," she said that made Den laugh, "babe... I wanted to do this here because this is a special place for the both of us. I remember I told you when we first saw this church na I want to marry you here," Alyssa said, looking at Den straight in the eyes, "pero na-realize ko na kahit saan man tayo dalhin ng pagkakataon, papakasalan at papakasalan pa rin kita.
When I first met you, you were this masungit but clingy type of friend. It was not hard to get attached to you, alam mo yun? And lo and behold, did I not get only attached, but fell for you hard. At araw-araw, patuloy akong nahuhulog sayo, Dennise.
Everytime I think about the things we've been through, I can't help but think what did I do to deserve you, you... you didn't give up and I am and will always be grateful you still chose me, for everyday of the past 8 years, despite and in spite of the pain."
Kanina pa nagpupunas ng luha si Den while Alyssa's talking, she also wipes Alyssa's tears.
"I bought this ring 6 months ago, there were many times I wanted to ask you na but I waited for the right timing, and I believe this is it.
Dennise, my love, will you marry me?" Alyssa asked, kneeling on one knee, full of hope, and at the same time, scared that Den would say no.
Nakatingin lang si Den sa kanya, and they fell into silence.
