Alyssa and Den looked at each other after Dennise dropped that question... Den awkwardly smiled.
"Uh, I... I mean, soon? Marry me soon?" Den asked, stepping back away from Ly. Alyssa chuckled at how Den looks so shy.
"Sa susunod babe, pag magpo-propose ka, dapat may singsing," she said, teasing Denden, making her girlfriend blush even more.
"Stop it, babe!" Dennise whined, "I got carried away kasi! I mean I want to marry you naman talaga, but earlier I felt like asking it."
"I know," Alyssa said, pulling back Den to hug her, "I had that moment so many times, babe. I just don't have the ring with me."
"Stop teasing," Denden commanded.
"I'm not! Nagsasabi lang ako ng totoo," Alyssa defended herself, "but thank you, though..."
"For?"
"For assuring me you want to marry me," Alyssa said, Den broke the hug to look at Alyssa.
"You have doubts on me about wanting to marry you?" Den asked, Alyssa heard the shift on Den's tone.
"Okay..." Alyssa thought to herself, mukhang they'll need the talk.
"Minsan, love," pag-amin ni Ly. She held Den's hand as they walk towards the couch, tahimik lang si Den while waiting for what Alyssa's going to say next, "not that I doubt your love for me, ang stupid ko na for doubting that when you've proven how much you love me all these years...
It's just that, minsan, I think you're too good to be true, alam mo yun? Na why would someone like you would want to marry me.." Alyssa said and she clearly saw the hurt on Den's face, "what I doubt is myself, not you, love. I know we told each other to practice self love kasi it's necessary, and I'm thankful for you for helping me do that. But alam mo yun, minsan may nagc-crack lang talaga and that's when doubts creep in. But then again, I remember our journey, on how much we fought for us, to be where we are right now, and I start to feel better. Na I'm good enough to deserve you and will continue to be deserving of you.
Minsan, tinatamaan lang din talaga ng insecurities," Alyssa said while trying to make the situation lighter by smiling.
Den sighed and hugged Alyssa tight, "thank you for telling me, love. Sorry na rin if I seemed offended, well I was, pero naiintindihan naman kita. After all, we can't be the best version of ourselves everyday, talagang may highs and lows. But I want you to know," Den said while cupping Alyssa's face, "na I would never trade this for anything else. And ever since we started dating, my goal is to settle with you. I already saw our future together, Ly. When doubts start to creep in again, please tell me, okay? I'll shoo them away," Dennise reassured her girlfriend, may hand gesture pa, and that made Alyssa laugh.
"Thank you, babe. Sobrang na-a-appreciate ko how patient you are with me..."
"You are din naman," Den said, "kung patience ang usapan, panalo ka na," Dennise joked.
"Ikaw ba, were there times you had doubts?" Alyssa asked.
Den nodded, "lalo na dati... and when we went public. Medyo natakot ako for what's going to happen next. But I held onto the truth na we made it this far, I'm sure we'll make it even farther."
Alyssa's heart grew triple times when she heard that. She suddenly wants to cry.
Dennise looked at her, "why?"
"I'm just amazed how much faith you have in us," Alyssa answered, "I don't know if I can still be with someone else if you won't marry me, Den," naiiyak na sabi ni Alyssa.
