"Den, are you sure Alyssa's fine with it?" Nadine asked, for the third time, since they met earlier.
Den chuckled, "yeah, like I told you, dapat kasama siya today but there was an emergency meeting daw and she told me to go. To be honest, dapat i-ca-cancel ko na rin but Ly reassured me it's fine to go, kaya I'm here," Dennise answered.
Nadine nodded, "I know the last time we met, I left such a bad impression on her, gusto ko sana to change that, it's such a pity she's not here."
Den stared at Nadine, "do you like my girlfriend, Nadine?"
Nadine almost choked on her water, "the heck, Dennise?" she asked, "where did you get that?"
"You badly want to see her," seryosong sagot ni Den.
"Pfft," Nadine stopped herself from laughing, "please tell me you're not serious about that? Ano ako? Gaga? I know how scary you are when it comes to people you love, ta's si Alyssa pa usapan, your girlfriend since forever. I'm not sick in the head, Den."
"Then, why?"
"Look, I just really want to make up for what I did before, plus I want to rebuild our friendship. Yun lang, promise."
Den smiled, "Alyssa's okay naman na with it a long time ago pa, she's not the kind of person na will hold a grudge. I'm sure she'll be happy to meet you."
"Ako sure ako I will be happy, I mean, your gf's the face of volleyball!"
"Sabi na you like Alyssa!"
"Bahala ka sa buhay mo, Dennise," natatawang sabi ni Nadine, Denden laughed because of that, "besides, I'm engaged, Den. If this ring ain't obvious e you're blind."
Den's eyes grew wide nang mapansin niya yung ring sa right ring finger ni Nadine.
"Bulag nga," Nadine said while laughing at how Den reacted.
"I didn't see it!" Dennise exclaimed.
"It's okay, dati ka pa naman bulag," Nadine said while laughing, "she's in Barcelona right now, and don't worry, she knows I'm meeting you."
"Who's the unlucky girl?" Den teased.
Nadine rolled her eyes at Den, "remember Klia?"
"Klia?"
"Klia Sandoval, yung setter ng St. Paul before?"
Den took a while before the name rung a bell, "wait, she's your fiancé?!"
Nadine nodded while smiling, "yeah, we met after grad and the rest is history."
"No way!! You're so asar kaya sa kanya dati pag may match tayo against their school!"
"Di ba?! Kahit ako I can't believe it, but when I knew who she really is, falling in love was easy."
"Cheesy," Dennise commented, "but no worries, I know the feeling."
"Wait, Den, there's something in your right eye," Nadine said.
"Where?" Den asked as she touch her eye Nadine pointed.
"Dito banda," Nadine said, she pointed on her own eye para makita ni Den kung nasaan yung dumi.
"Okay na?" Den asked.
Nadine shook her head, "I still see it pa rin. Wait, let me," Nadine said, she went beside Den at siya na yung nagtanggal, "see, ant pala," sabi ni Nadine at pinakita kay Den yung langgam.
"Ba't di ko na-feel?"
"Lahat kasi ata ng feelings mo na kay Alyssa na," Nadine joked and that made the two of them laugh.
