June

We all eat our waffles and it feels peaceful. You know here being with my family. I feel so close to them that i bet no argument no fight nothing could get in the way of this. Or so i thought.

"So eden how has your work been going lately?" Day speaks up

"Uhh well you see about that" eden looks nervous. Almost as if heart broken.

"Yes?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well right now things aren't really going well with Antarctica and the republic. It seems as if war might break up and they might take me back"

"But eden i don't think they can take you back. Look you were born here and you have the right to stay here if you want" tess looks as if almost on the verge of tears.

"I know but they say they might or else war might break loose at any moment."

Me and day look at each other and fear the worst. Another war.

"But eden can't you just decide to stay here. You were born in the republic. They can't force you to go back to Antarctica. Nor can they threaten the republic with war."

"Yes they can june. They had made an agreement. As long as the republic and Antarctica cooperate there shall be no war. But if one or the other denies to cooperate then they have the right to commence war. And i'm pretty sure anden would never and i always feared they the president might decide to start it"

I decide to stand up and go to my room. I put on a jacket and tell eden,tess, and day that they are welcomed to stay as long as they like.

"Hey june, where you going?" day asks in a concerned voice.

"I'm just gonna go for a walk"
"Can i come too?" I nod and day hurries to go get a jacket. He comes back and is ready to go. We both wave bye and off we go.

I decide to go to ruby sector where my apartment is. I enter my apartment and i see it has been left untouched. Well except the food was taken out of the fridge as it might have caused a pungent smell. Day looks around and turns to see a photo of metias.

"Hey june whose this guy?"
"Well that's my older brother."
i smile as i look at his picture and remember all the memories we've had from him taking care of me when i had a fever or was sick to him seeing me in the principals office for doing something bad.
I still remember when i was climbing the side of the building and helicopters had to come just to get me to come down. Like i couldn't have gotten down by myself.

"June you alright?"
"Hmm yeah fine why?"
"Well your crying you sure you're okay?"

I feel my face to see that my cheek is wet and that tears have rolled down. I wipe them off and explain to day that i was just thinking of metias.

"Man you sure did love your brother didn't you june?"
"Well yeah. You see he was my parent and my brother. He always took care of me and always assured me it was okay. He didn't treat me as a prodigy but he treated me as his little sister. He used to call me junebug all the time. he was my last family member aside from ollie but then i made a new family and learned that metias never left in the first place that he was always here" i point to my heart.

"Glad to be part of your family miss iparis" day says with a cheesy smile.

I'm glad day actually came with me as i'm not sure what the future holds anymore. Just then i get a call from anden.

"June! I need you to come to batalla hall now!"
"What for anden?"
"Important news from Antarctica things might not end well and i need you to come right away."
"Okay anden i'm on my way"

I hang up. Day! We need to go now. I pull day by his jacket and i start to run. He follows me. Side by side.
