After champion

Day

I hear june talking with the elector. I hear her voice in sort of like a panic.
She hangs up and tells me we need to go. She pulls me by my sleeve and off we go.
"Where are we going?!"
"We're going to batalla hall."
"What for?"
"Things aren't looking so great for the republic."
With that i know what she means.

We make it there in two minutes flat.
They expect us so we just make a straight run for it. We got to the conference room and i see the elector, eden, and the princeps elect. We decide to sit down next to eden and that's when it all sets in. This is real. I might lose my baby brother all because of the president.

"I'm guessing you all know why i called all of you here right?" The elector looks mainly at me as he did not call me rather i came with june.
We all nod in agreement and he continues.
"So what are some ideas that any of you have?"
"well we can just discuss with the president with Antarctica about eden's stay can't we? plus why do they only want eden. I mean i know he got all his education there but what does it matter. Eden was born here not there."
I want to almost shout but i keep my voice steady.
"Well as far as i know i just know something happened between the president and eden."
We all look and turn to eden who seems tense.
"Eden why do they want you back?"
He sighs and looks down.
"I know i should have told all of you this. Especially you anden but Antarctica has actually been planning war with the republic for a while now and i know how to make the deadliest bomb there can be. I have made it before but they never tested it while i was there. I guess they didn't want me to find out how explosive it is but i think i did a pretty good job. Anyways i think that is the main reason. In order to ensure their victory and to have their demands met they will use explosives to do it. At first i thought it was all a joke considering the laughter that would happen while i was there but i should have known it was real."

We all look at eden is shock. June, the princeps elect and the elector all look as pale as a ghost. They must have thought none of this would happen.

"Again do any of you have any plans?" The elector asks in a sort of pleasing voice.

"Well anden i guess if they have actually been planning this so why don't we start" june speaks up and she has a hint of excitement and sorrow and in her voice. I can tell she's not entirely glad of the upcoming war but she also isn't excited to be back in the warfront.
The elector nods and starts sending commands to other commanders.

"June,day. You two are our best soldiers. Would both of you be willing to go and fight for the republic. Now before you both answer. Keep in mind if you both agree then you both will be assigned to the same area."
I look at june then back at the elector.
In unison we both say yes.
"Great! Now june as commander you will be assigned your own patrol. Day you will help june and her patrol by aiding her while in war"
We both nod and know what will come throughout these weeks or day or hours.
We all wait patiently. It has been two day since we have been told about this war and we have been training day and night.
Eden has been working on making a bomb in case we need it. Tess has been in the medical field getting all her supplies ready and being ready for any soldier who might come their way wounded.
War might begin at any moment and any second.
