After champion

I'm confused by the promise he made. I try to remember everything he has told me but nothing really sticks out to me.

Day begins to take something out of his back pocket. I would assume it would be like a sort of card explaining who he was but what he takes out surprises the life out of me. Before i jump to conclusions i let him finish before i get all excited.

"Okay you remember back in antartica what i told you?" He asks holding the item behind his back. I shake my head and he just smiles

"Well i think this might refresh your memory a little bit" he takes the item behind his back to reveal the box. I look at it questioned but i know what it holds inside.

"Okay i know you do not know my name but maybe just maybe you will get my name from this question"
He goes on one knee and clears his throat.
"June, will you marry me?" He says looking at me. Suddenly i get all the memories again. I remember his name again. His name is daniel. But for me he's not daniel. To me he is day.

I am so struck by excitement that i can't even get the words out of my mouth. I try and i just keep my mouth open. I take a deep breath and say it.
"Yes i will day" i smile and he smiles right back. He comes over to hugs me so tight that i can't breath. I pat him to stop and he looks at me and laughs.
"Sorry guess i got to excited."
"Come here." I tell him as i pat a space on my bed.

He jumps on the bed and just looks at me. I put my head against his shoulder. I feel so relieved. When he walked out i was crying over him. The fact that i did not even know his name and that i was crying is not to common for me. Well i don't think it is really common for anyone else either.

We talk about how he has been since i have been in a coma.

"Sooo how was it?" I ask him
"How was what?" He looks confused
"How was it when i was in a coma. Like how were you. Were you happy mad sad or what. What did you do during all that time?" I ask just giving him a bunch of questions at a time.

"Well i was so mad at myself for mot protecting you from everything. I wouldn't really eat that much and everyone was devastated. You had such a huge impact on everyone that a lot of us just were waiting for you to wake up. I was always was by your side. Well except when the nurse kept kicking me out. Sometimes they would just give up on actually kicking me out that they would just leave me here. Oh and don't tell anyone but i actually climbed the building in order to get in here. I actually left but only to get a new pair of clothe i would actually shower here in your bathroom so that way if you did wake up i made sure that i wouldn't miss it" he smiles and kisses my forehead.

We see tess come in and smiles.
"Hello and how are both if you?" She asks.
"Well we're all good you know getting comfortable" day says smiling.
"I see. So daniel you do it yet?" He nods
Tess screams and runs over quickly to hug us.
"But but wait i didn't say she said yes" tess looks confused and looks at me with puppy eyes and she opens her mouth to speak but day stops her.
"Just messing with you of course she said yes" he laughs and tess smacks him on the head
