Day

I hear nathan and june having a conversation. I decide to eavesdrop on what they're talking about. Apparently nathan had his parents die the same was june's did. Pretty sad the old way the republic was. Kids had to take trials. They never got to live a full life. In fact all they did was live in fear. That is until the new elector came in. Anden.
Then i hear he said his class was the smallest graduating class. He was just twelve when the was ended. I wonder what that must have felt like. Seeing your friends die when you're just so young. That must mean he's about eden's age. Only twenty two. I wonder what eden would have been like if he never got sick and was going to war with the colonies during the time when they thought we were spreading a disease to them. I hear june and nathan stop talking. I heard earlier he preferred nat so i'll just call him that. You know to remind him of his parents.
"Hey nat you're alright" i smile while i say this. june starts to hold my hand and i hold hers. i hear her speak up.
"We're all in this together. The three of us."
The three of us. Nat was not supposed to get into this. I think he could have gladly denied the mission. But yet he is risking his life to save june. i see they tied us up. Not very well. I think they could have done better. I mean we have movement to our hands that must mean we can just undo the other person's rope in an instant.
"Hey june can you reach my rope?"
"I can. Here let my just untie it." She starts untying the rope and i undo the rest once i feel loose enough to do it myself. I go over to june and untie hers too. We both go to nat and untie his rope too. I see an air vent. I'm pretty sure we can just climb through there and get out. Before i tell either of them i grab June in for a kiss. Man how much i've wanted to kiss her after so long. I make june blush with that. Nat looks at us sort of crazy but then realizes that me and her are together. I assume by his face expression.
"Okay i see an air vent over there. I think all of us can climb it to get out of here."
They both nod their head and follow me. We open up the vent. We let june in as i think she is the weakest out of all of us. I mean not because she's a girl of she's weak it's just she doesn't look well nourished and she doesn't look like she even had enough energy to help her up. Next is nat and just as i put the vent back in place i hear a bunch of locks open eight in fact. Pretty intense. I see through the holes and tell nat and june to be quiet.
The man seems to be bringing in food.
"Hello kids i'm here with food" he yells before realizing that we are not there. He drops the tray in anger and runs out.
"Okay i think we should stay here for a little bit. I think they expect us to be out running already."
"Don't you think they'll look for us here in the building. I think they know what we're capable of" june says
"True let's move to an empty room" nat says.
We both nod at the idea and start to crawl.

We get to a room with no one. We open the vent. I go down first. Nat second and i catch june. We open the door ready for whatever comes at us. We keep going and somehow we reach the entrance. We waste no time. We burst through the door and realize no one is guarding the door. I get to the nearest phone and contact anden. He doesn't pick up. I try again two more times until he finally does.
"I am very sorry to"
"Anden! It's me day. I found june."
"You did where is she?"
"She's right next to me." june takes the phone.
"Hi anden"
"Thanks anden"
june hangs up.
"Anden says he'll send a plane right away to pick us up."
"We turn realizing we're right in front of the building where they can just cone out and snatch us. We run and get about nine blocks away. We slow down and start to walk where the plane should be.
"This seemed too easy don't you guys think?" They both nod but stare straight ahead.
We get to the plane and are on our way to the republic again. I never thought i'd think this but man i'm i glad to be going back.
