After champion

Day

I finish explaining to the soldier how i got here and when. The soldier points to me to a guy who is greg. Greg motions me to come to him so i follow. With each step i tale i gain more confidence.

"Would you like to introduce yourself to everyone here?" He asks not feeling threatened or even showing danger.

I go up to the podium and clear my throat. The clearing of my throat causes static but then turns crystal clear.
"Hello. My name if you were listening while i was talking to him" i motion to the soldier who stops me "is daniel or also known as day" i hear some murmurs in the crowd of about eighty and i turn to look at the guy. He looks down and people are telling him how he could interrogate me. I whistle and smile at him to reassure him it's okay.

"Now i believe many of you all know me as the ex most wanted criminal in the republic. While that is true i am also one of the most respected people in the republic. I believe that many of you also know that i helped along with the new republic. I helped our new elector gain respect from the crowd. He is different from his father. His father was a cruel man but in our current electors eyes he is his father and he will love him unconditionally as he remembers his father as a caring man. I helped the republic along with the patriots and i would like to call former patriot to the podium pascao." I hear hollers from the crowd calling pascao.

"Thank you mr.pretty boy" he looks at me with a grin and i smile back. Same old pascao.
"Anyways yes i was one of the ones who actually helped the republic rise up. Most of the credit i would have to give it to the pretty boy and june!" I chuckle and he continues.
"Now why i decided to move here is a good question actually. The reason i had moved here was to actually become a spy. Nobody ever suspected a thing here. I found you guys who wanted to work for the republic and i trust all of you understand why you want the republic to win at the moment. i am a spy for the republic. Long live the republic!!" I hear more roars coming from the crowd who is really fired up by pascaos speech.
"Okay okay" i say as i take back the podium.
"Now this is my buddy nat." I point at nat and tell him to come up. He looks shy and looks down.
"Nat is one of the kids who worked all the way from the slums to being the electors best soldier. He earns the title and i ask for all of you to welcome him here and not give him a hard time." I mess with his hair and finish off my speech

Now lastly i would like to give one last thing. if asked them to come up it would take a long time so stay where you are and make noise for the best soldiers.!!" I point to all of them and they high five each other and fist bump.

"Now who do we want to win?!" I shout
"The republic!!"
"Annddd what is our motto?!!"
"Long live the republic!!" They cheer to the top of thier lungs that some of them look like they are sweating and breathing hard. This is so exciting we can do this no matter how hard it is.

I get a call and answer.
"Hello. Guess who i have" i hear an evil voice come through. And when i hear what has happened i feel all color from my skin disappear.

Nat and pascao come up to em to congratulate me but as they look at my face they ask a different question.
"What's up day?" Nat asks
"They they they got them" i say

I feel anger go through me and i explain everything.
