Day

I can't believe i just saw pascao again. In all honesty i didn't remember him a lot. All i remembered was that we did fight next to each other but that's about it. Nothing much to it.

I look at nat to check up on him to see if he's okay. He seems calmer now that me and pascao talked for a little. Maybe he knows already that nothing bad is going to happen. Plus pascao and me are good friends i think. By the way he talks to me he sounds like we were really good friends. I wish i remembered everyone. I mean someone must have helped and i'm sure someone must have lost their life. I wish i could remember. I remember one Japanese girl. She was a pilot but that's all i know.

"Hey day!" Pascao says in concern.
"Yeah?" I say getting out of my day dream state.
"You good? Or you need something?" Before i can answer the guy who i was addressed by pascao as the jerk comes in.

He comes in with the lie detector and sets it down on the table next to me.
"So you ready for the test?" The jerk asks as evilly as possible.
"Yup throw whatever you have at me. I have nothing to hide" i say with confidence and i hear a bit of laughter from pascao.
"Pascao shut up!" The jerk says and he rolls his eyes and stands up straight again.
"Okay funny man let's start shall we" the jerk says. I nod as an indication to start.

"Alright i'm gonna be nice and start off with simple questions. Have you ever lived in Antarctica?"
"Well yeah i mean i had to live here to protect my brother." I tell him casually.
"Hmm okay okay. Who would you rather see win Antarctica or the republic?"
"Well the republic of course i mean wouldn't i already be planting bombs over there instead of having some guy interrogate me for possibly spying."
I try to annoy with and it seems to be working a bit.
"Fine. Let's start with the hard questions now since you wanna be funny. would you be okay with your precious elector being overthrown off his throne by the president?"
"Well no not really considering i actually risked my life into trying to get everyone in the republic to trust him so no i would not be okay with that" i say with a little bit of cockiness added.
"Alright seems to check out then. Next question. Would you risk june for the victory of the republic?" The jerk says with a grin.
I know that if i end up picking june he'll think i'm a traitor but if i pick the republic then i'll be a traitor to myself and to june. i know what he's trying to do. He's trying to get me to actually pick the wrong answer but you know what i don't care.
"You know i think the love of my life is more important than the republic. I mean sure if i choose her the republics victory would be a peril but who says that we can't win it back." I hope my explanation made sense because now that i think about it he will do anything to actually get me to break.
"Haha wrong answer. Pascao! Hit the kid in the stomach."
Pascao looks at me and smiles. He gets close to nat and i see pascao lips move. He must have a plan or something because nat shakes his head up and down and that's when pascao hits him. Well not really if you would have looked real close you could see that he barely touched nat. Nat yells in order for it too look real and holds his breathe as if he actually got hit.
I look at him with sympathy and turn back to look at the jerk. I glare at him as he smiles and i turn to see nat give me a wink. I wink back and turn around.
"Alright now that you've seen what the wrong answer can get you you still have to see what the lie can get you and i promise you it will be much much worse." He gives a creepy smile before continuing.
