After champion

Day

I get to the dog pound and i see all these dogs. They're all adorable but i have to choose one. I don't know i'm kind of a soft person with dogs. One catches my eye. It's a yellow husky with pointed ears. It has one eye that's blue and one that's green. It seems really energetic in his cage. It jumps towards me and the only thing keeping us apart are the little thin wires. I get close to the cage and i put my hand for him to come closer. It starts to lick my hand an i laugh.

"So i see he has started to bond with you" the lady who takes care of the dogs starts to speak.
"My name's sam." She extends her hand out for me to shake.
"Day. When can i take this little guy? Home." I question since she referred to the dog as he.
"Well what's the rush" she asks crossing her hands over her chest.

"Well i want it to be a gift to my fiancé. You see she used to have a dog but he died while i was in Antarctica."
"Oh sorry to hear. A gift. Hmm i think i can make an arrangement for you to take him home today" i smile
"Thanks" we head back to the front and she gives me a form to fill out.

I fill it out in fifteen minutes and i hand it back to sam. I seem excited because she laughs when she takes the clip board.

"Alright let's go get the little pup" she motions me to follow her and opens the gate for him. He jumps on me and starts to bark with excitement. I hug him.
"You are going back to a good home. You are just perfect" i say in a whisper so only the dog can hear. He licks my nose and barks. I laugh and pat him on the head.

"Okay now come here so i can give you all you need for the first few nights."
She takes me to a room.
"Here is a leash. Some food which will last you a day so i suggest you buy some today. And a cage." She hands all of this to me at the same time. I put the puppy in the cage along with the food. What can a puppy do rip the bag and eat it all?

I wrap the leash around my wrist and go to the entrance.
"Thanks for the little puppy sam"
"No problem anytime you want a dog you know where to come." She smile and waves good bye.

I head to the pet store and i buy all the other necessary things to raise him.
I buy him two bowls, some toys, more food, those mats for dogs to potty train in, and a collar with his very own dog tag that looks like a bone.

I take him out of the cage to put all the stuff in there. I grab the puppy and put his collar on him. I take the leash and attach it to him. I decide to carry him half way to june's place since he starts to get tired and starts to walk slow and lays down everywhere. He seemed to have fallen asleep because when i jiggle my key into the door he starts to stretch and open his mouth to yawn.

I see june is asleep and i play a little prank on her. I put the puppy on her and put the items in her room.

I get back in time to see her mumble my name. I chuckle and she starts to hug the puppy. She wakes up and looks at me. She thanks me and i explain that it's her wedding gift.
"I know the perfect name for him" says to me smiling.
"What is it?"
"Ollie the second" because they were both given to me by the people i love. I nod and smile

We play around with the puppy and he starts to fall asleep. I forgot to get him a bed so we take a lot of blankets and make it into a nest in a corner.

June yawns and tells me she's heading to bed and that i'm welcomed to stay or go home. I nod and kiss her goodnight.

I start to get my stuff to head off to my place when the the ollie starts to whine. I go up to him and pat him on the head. I head for the door and he starts to bark.
"Okay little guy you're coming with me then" i head home and get a change of clothe
"Whoa who's the little pup?" Eden asks smiling.
"Him? He's june's wedding gift. His name is ollie the second" i smile and put my hand on his head.
"So where you heading?" Eden asks
"Well june again. I need to take care of him and i have to go put him back too. He cries every time i leave him" i laugh and scratch his stomach
"Good luck with him" he waves and i go back to june's

I get there and i lay on the couch and put him on my stomach. This is gonna be a long night.
