your eyes stole all
of my words away.

"Well, isn't this just a disappointment. Not that I was surprised...thus us Gojo after all," I muttered, but as soon as the words left my mouth, said man had hit the back of my head..."lightly."

"That's Gojo-sensei to you."

"Mm-hmm, whatever you say, off-brand Kakashi."

"Who?"

"Nevermind."

I was still angry about the meat shield thing, and I was seriously hoping he was joking about that, but whatever. The important thing is, is that we're here. My first mission as a first year at jujutsu tech—

Just as I was about to walk forward with Yūji and Kugisaki. A cursed weapon already being handed to Yūji, I was roughly pulled back.

"Ah, no. You're not going on this mission, (Name)."

"Eh?"

Fushiguro leaned against a wall then, his arms crossing as he already knew he wouldn't be going either. He was still partly injured after all.

"Well, you're weak. Wouldn't want you to die and all."

"Hold it, hold it, hold it. I thought that-"

"What? That you can actually do something?"

Yūji and Kugisaki were long told to go into the building with curses inside. Me being left behind.

"Well, i-"

Gojo brought a hand to his face, two of his fingers hooking around his blindfold, "unless you want me to make you stay?"

I huffed as i went to sit at some railing. Gojo following after me as the three of us waited for the two to get the mission done. My eyes sometimes glancing to Gojo as he sat in a weird position. Rumbles and yells could be heard from outside, but I wasn't worried.

"So, have you seen your parents in the last few months?"

The question was way out there. I didn't act surprised at the question though. There was no need to. It was just a question.

"No."

He let out a light hum as I glanced at Fushiguro. He wasn't paying attention at all. Probably worried about his new found classmates. What a waste.

"Anyway, I see you still have that nasty habit of yours..."

"Hmm?"

He rested an elbow on his knee. His chin lying in his palm, and despite the blindfold covering his eyes, it felt like he was staring into my soul. I swear, some teachers are scary as hell...so I couldn't help it when a bead of sweat dripped down the side of my face. My eyes not even bothering to look at Gojo.

"Don't act like that. You know exactly what I'm talking about. You analyze people to such a perfect degree that you can say anything that they want to hear. Honestly, that was probably the only reason why your parents kept you for so long."

"Maybe," I muttered as I scratched the back of my head.

"There is no maybe about it. I can remember the time when you first met me. Using that fake tactic to try and get on my good side," he snickered at the end as I finally looked at him. My gaze...dull. blank.

It felt like the world was still in its monochrome colors. Cold.

"Alright fine, I could care less about Kugisaki and Fushiguro. I'm only here because Yūji is here. And if he just so happened to die someday, well, guess i'll be trying to find something else to do in life. Who knows? Maybe I could waste away."

"Aren't you already wasting away?"

I smiled at this, "oh right, I guess I already am."

And I couldn't help but to remember the very first time I met the "strongest" sorcerer. My parents were ecstatic.

It was a different story for me.
