I took another ship of my cup of coffee, finishing it. My finger around the handle. It was small, yet the cup was fancy. I place it down into the sink, my sink was silver, as it was metal. I walk towards my closest, as I grip on the doorknob of it, as I twist it. I open the door, grabbing my coat. A brown winter jacket, with white fur on the edge of the hood. I slip it on, then I zip up the zipper until it reaches my neck. A collar coat. I never manage to hunt down Darkness, because it would be foolish enough for me to charge somewhere, screaming and thinking Darkness would be there. I hope that evil lord knows what's coming for him. But now I know one thing I hate about him. He forced the marriage of that guy, and Haruko. I never knew his name, yet I can tell both of them had a childhood memory together.
I hear the door close, as I glare at the front door, which is the only entrance to my room. It was Haruko. She had a black coat on, with no hood. The coat's length was long, it goes up all the way to her knee. I thought it was a trench coat for a second. She had blue jeans, that had some holes, but I can tell that was part of the design. She had soft black fur earmuffs, on her ears. I notice a new change to her now. Her eyes were black and her fingernails were paintless. She glare at me, as she leans on the door, waiting for me. "It's cold." She smiled. Her cold and shady self is no more, unless we are in direct combat.
I walk towards her, as I snatch my keys off the coffee table, near the entrance door. I spot a coat rack, in the corner, next to the entrance door. There was a scarf dangling. It was white. I snatched it. I wrap it around my neck, as I look over at Haruko. "It's winter." Today was November 12. There wasn't snow, but the air was cold, like it was 12 degrees. She giggled a bit when I said that. "Of course, it is." Today, I'm going to go out with Haruko, to go shopping. Since she told me that she just appeared in this city with school stuff (uniform, homework, etc,) and food. She open the door, but moving out of the way. She was holding it for me. I went through the doorway, exiting the room, as she did too, closing the door. I insert my key into the keyhole and turning it clockwise, locking it, then I unsheathe the key out of the hole, as I shove it into my pocket, after.

We were walking in a mall, on the upper level. The upper level had a balcony in the middle, as we can see the lower level. It was partly crowded in the mall. What do you expect, it's a Sunday. Yet, what I found myself, was me carrying three fabric shopping bags. Two were clothings, one were what she wanted. A purse. What I counted in each bag, was about 10 clothing on each. Well, I hope me spending money for her came for a good cost or something. I can see her take a glare, as she rush over. "Wait up." I said, as I follow behind her. When I caught up to her, I see her bent down, staring down at something. What is she staring at? I walked over to her, next to her, as I see a lamp. The lamp was off, yet it looked nice and traditional. A diamond prism shape cover, that looked like thin leather and fabric. The support beam was wooden, carved with spheres and lines. Yet, there was a little gold coin dangling, that was connected to the wooden support. I put my fingers, touching the coin. It felt like metal. It was real. "What a nice lamp." I said. She look over her shoulder, examining me. She noticed me holding the coin. I spot her glance, as I let go of the coin, lowering my arm. She put her fingers, holding the coin. "It's warm.." She said. The coin is warm because of the warmth of my hand. She can feel the warmth of the coin. "How can your hands be warm?" She asked.
I pondered for a moment. Yet, I don't know the answer. "Perhaps I use the element of fire, that's why?" I replied. The tone in my voice sounded a bit, unsure. She let go of the coin, as she looked at her own hands. I noticed she didn't wore gloves. I look at my own hands. I had black cotton fingerless gloves. I took them off, as I put them in front of her. "Here." I said. She take the gloves, out of my hand, as she slip them on. She grip on the glove, as she push it down to her hand, tighting it and making sure it stays on her hand, as she does that for each hand. I look at the lamp's cover, as I can see the price tag. $35. I can buy that. I grip onto the wooden beam, as I took it away from her and walked towards the counter.
After the payment, I can tell that I would be the one carrying the lamp, just like with the other bags- but Haruko chose to help me and carry the lamp. Well didn't that supported me. I sigh, as I just pondered about that marriage. I wonder if that guy that would be marrying Haruko, knows about her other side. Perhaps not. But I can tell this cheerful side of Haruko, is a way to hide herself that she's a darkness citizen. But with citizens like that, it's unbelievable. It's like circling, thinking if you should marry a dragon or an evil lord. Maybe I should stop talking about marriage. "Hey, Katsu." I turn my head to the left, looking down at her. I'm taller than her, but her height is like up to my ears, so I can tell im an inch taller.
"Where should we put this lamp?" I never thought about that. It would be pointless in the living room, since it has a ceiling lamp. Either my room or hers. "It can be in your room." I answered. I see her yawn quietly, yet she plan to hide that yawn, but not opening her mouth wide. "I guess, but maybe your room after. My room would turn into a office place." An office place? So she means a place to work, to fill up documents and stuff like that. "Why?" I asked. I waited for an answer. "Yesterday, I registered for a job, to work as an office worker for a company. The company is mainly about electronics and bottles." That seems like a suitable job for her. Yet, I didn't knew she was this smart when she would be doing something like this. She would be starting university soon. "So where would you sleep then?" Her face changed, as she looked like she was pondering, then she lift her head, looking at me. "Your room." I guess she can move her bed into mine. It wouldn't fit in the doorway and room- What?!
"Whoa, whoa! Wait why? Plus, I don't think my single person bed would fit two people all the time. I remember the last time I set up the floor for you, you declined it!" She tilted her head.
"I don't remember doing that." Shoot, I forgot. The other side declined it, not this side. Oh crap. "Well, your other side did." She grins a bit, giggling.
"I don't like sleeping on the floor too, just like my other side. The floor is just hard, and it reminds me in the past, as I had to sleep on rumble and debris when everything was in ruins." I see. I don't like to sleep on the floor too, so I guess we have to share a bed. Yet, that makes it feels like we are a couple- which we are not. "So Katsu?" I look at her. "Yeah?"
"Buy a queen-sized bed." I felt like I would faceplant right now, after hearing that. But now I remembered that Haruko would be sleeping with her fiancée- I won't allow it! I remember that on December 23, she would have to marry that man. So I have one month to spend time with Haruko. But what I knew about, war doesn't occur to us, so we don't have to worry- yet I know that it's just going to be regular weeks, just going to school. Just going to school is like feeling we are humans, going to school on a regular basis. But the problem of feeling that way is that...
We are not humans.
