Elemental School

Chapter 24 - Using Guns.

I spin around, slamming my back against a pillar that supports the roof. I watch my friends getting behind tables and pillars, protecting them self from the bullets that flies at us. I glare over the pillar. DOES soldiers was thinking the same thing. They take cover behind pillars, counters and tables. I move over the pillar, revealing myself, as I pull the trigger. Empty bullet shells flies out of my gun, as real piercing lens instantly reach out the muzzle of my gun, and into the battlefront. Soldiers took cover, hiding from my bullets- expect one of my bullet pierces through an enemy's neck, as he collapses instantly. They aim at me, and fire. I slam my back against the pillar.

Kyzou, peep out of his cover, firing his gun. Zailura and Jiao took cover with him, with their spears on the floor. They are useless unless we push forward. "If we keep fighting, we will not be able to reach Haruko!" I yell, through the the sounds of bullets. "We need to move up!"

They nodded, as Kyzou slowly ducks down and walk towards me, trying not to peep over and get shot at the head. Zailura and Jiao still stayed at their spot. I catch Gen, reloading his weapon, as he then peep over and fire.

"I got an idea." Kyzou yelled, through the sounds. "If the girls and me move towards the right side of the room while the soldiers are distracted from you two, we can flank them."

I glare over the sides of the room, they are all covered with those dinning set and debris. They can blend in and hide while moving. "Good idea." I said. I spin around, aiming at the enemies, firing again. My finger squeeze on the trigger.

I empty my magazine, then insert a fresh one. I watch the three flank the other soldiers, which caught them off guard. Kyzou's idea worked. Me and Gen leap over our cover, as we move towards the rest of them. I examine the area. No soldiers leftover, just Zaerak left. He stood on the platform, next to Haruko. He grip his sword. Me, Gen and Kyzou instantly raise our rifles as we aim at him. He instantly spun then wrap his left arm around Haruko's neck. His blade at her head. "What are you doing?!" I yelled. I know exactly who I'm talking too. Haruko.

"What do you mean?" She said.

"Why are you not resisting?!"

"I don't want you to get hurt. I cause so much trouble for you." She answered. She just glare away, yet I can see her hands on the arm of Zaerak's, that's wrapped around her neck. I can see her hands grip on his arm.

"I-" 

"That's enough." Zaerak said, cutting me off. He let Haruko go, as she collapse on the floor. He leaps on the railing.

"You should show some respect." A beam of darkness struck his sword, as he aim at us with the tip of his blade. Beam of darkness fires at us, as we evade. I slid back, as I face to my side. I fire my piercing bullets at him. He deflects them easily. I hear clicks on my gun. No bullets left. He jumps off from the railing and landed next to us, making the floor shake a bit. 

"You made the floor shook." Gen said, retaking his balance.

"Are you fat or something?" He laughs. We couldn't help it but smirk a bit. Zaerak growled, as he instantly vanishes from thin air. He reappears in front of Gen, and thrust his blade into his stomach.

"Gen!" Jiao yelled. She sprints across to him, as she thrust her blade of her spear at Zaerak. Zaerak pulled the sword out of his stomach and twirl, dodging the blade. He slam his blade down at the spear, lowering the blade. He twirl again, with his leg up, as he kick Jiao at the jaws, pushing her back. I watch Gen slowly collapse.

I flip my gun, gripping onto the barrel instead of the handle. I charge at him and swing my gun at him like a sword, aiming for his head. He tilt his head back, dodging my gun as he caught the stock of my gun with his hands. He crushes the stock, as components and parts of the stock breaks and lets them loose. He thrust his foot at my stomach, sending me flying and I impact against two pillars like I was a ping pong ball. I slowly build myself back up to my feet, as I see the spear on the floor that Jiao dropped. 

Kyzou aim his barrel at Zaerak and fired. Zaerak only notice a quick glimpse of it and almost lost guard of it. He deflects the bullets with his blade, yet I notice two bullets scratching him. I charge up at him, with the spear in my grip. "Kyzou, cease fire!" He lower his weapon, reloading his magazine. I thrust my blade at him, yet Zaerak blocks it with his blade of his sword. Nice luck...

He twirl his sword around, making me lose grip of the spear and slash towards me. I evade, grabbing hold the spear's edge. I almost lost it. I twirl it above my head as I move my arm back with the spear. I thrust my arm at him, throwing the spear at him. He lost guard and trip back, with his blade in front of him. I jump towards him, slamming my foot at him. He slid back, as he grabs my wrist and twist it. I scream in agony, as he slams me to the ground. It felt like my spine just cracked. 

"What type of elemental are you? Your weak and puny. I don't think coming here was worth it."

"I think it was worth the trouble." He smirks. Kyzou fire his bullets at Zaerak, but this time he was aware. He deflect his bullets again, as he thrust his left hand towards Kyzou. A sphere of darkness was summon from his palm and dashes towards Kyzou. It breaks his gun and sends him flying.

A spear fly pass above me, and into Zaerak's shoulder, as he was completely unaware. Zaerak growled, as he leaps over me and attacked someone. I can't see. I turn my head, looking where he's fighting, where he slash a scar on Zailura's arm. She collapse.

"Stop!" I hear someone yell. That's Haruko's voice. She walks down the stair, and stood behind Zaerak. Zaerak, pull the spear out of his shoulder. "Oh hey." He said.

"Stop hurting them. Leave them alone." She said coldly, yet a her voice tinged with worrisome.

"They interfere our wedding, look what happened." He gesture his hand around the room.

"Just.. Don't hurt them. Please." She said. Haruko.. Stop.

Zaerak put his hand on her shoulder. "Come. We should leave this chaos." He wrap his arm around her shoulder, as they began walking away. No.. Stop.

I slowly grab hold Zaerak's ankle. He glare over his shoulder, looking down at me. "What do you fool.."

"Katsu.. Stop. Please. I don't want you to get hurt." Haruko whispers. 

"Don't you see?!" I yell. I feel my eyes shake, and my ears twitches.

"I'm already prepared for that!" 

Zaerak chuckles. "How sweet of you. Expect you are not capable to even fight me."

"I'm already numb." I mumble. I see both of their faces turn into confusion.

"I'm numb, I can't feel pain." I instantly roll onto my back, as I thrust my fist against his crotch. He squeals in agony, as he slowly stumble back. I leap back onto my feet. 

"Katsu?" I hear Haruko said. She didn't move away..

"Katsu, what do you mean your already prepared for that?"

I clutch my fist. "I always want to be with you. Even if there are pains and struggles in our path, i'm already prepared for that! You think me, all of us, can go silent about your unwanted marriage and disappearance?" I can see tears under her eyes, but I can just know what those tears meant. Tears of joy. 

"Such tolerance.." I hear Zaerak mumble. A black aura, appears under him, like you would see in a movie or comic. Elemental can do auras? 

"A move that is only capable for darkness citizens. A hidden aura."

I step forward, in front of Haruko. I felt my eyes shake more and more, as my vision become a little blurry to red flames at my eyes. and my ears twitch. Then, I feel a snap in my brain occur.
