I never knew Laredo, and Nuevo Laredo existed.
I only knew we were going to Texas. I don't know why i thought that in Texas everyone was a cowboy and cowgirl. I was stupid.

The house that my dad was building, he rented it to a family. Later on , we get the news that we lost the house, and it was sold to someone else.
We left Guadalajara, and made it to Nuevo Laredo in summer. It was one of the hottest years i had ever experienced in my life ! We didn't have family nor friends in Nuevo Laredo. Everything was new too us. We had a Dalmatian, her name was sandy. I loved that dog since she was the first Dalmatian i ever had.
My dad found a room to rent in a two story "house " another couple rented the room next too us. They became our only friends.

We didn't live in a very nice place. It was just a room that had no air conditioning. The room my dad rented was the size of a class room. For 6 people to live in that tiny space was nothing nice, and it was way worse because we didn't even had a TV, bed, fridge, nor a stove. We would sleep out side the veranda because it was more fresh. The room was just too hot. We would put blankets on the floor to sleep, since we didn't have a bed.
My dad's credit card was canceled for some reason i don't remember. We only eat bread with ham and cranberry juice from a huge can. Since we didn't have a fridge we had no ice to put in the juice. My dad got a job at a "yonke " he would get paid 100 "pesos " i really don't know how we didn't die of hunger.
( i feel like i offended some ppl here. Ik some people actually don't eat anything and its nothing compared to my experience )

School was about to start in Laredo so my two brothers, dad and i left to Laredo. My mom and sister staid in Nuevo Laredo for obvious reasons...
My dad rented a small house of one room for the 4 of us to live while we were in school. My dad didn't have food stamps i think ? I don't remember. I guess we didn't because we had to go and eat at the salvation army. We would wake up in 6 in the morning to go and eat breakfast, then like at 5 in the afternoon we would form in a line outside the Bethany house cafeteria. I think ? I think it was the salvation army but idk it said Bethany house. We would eat a lot so we wouldn't be hungry at night.
On Fridays we would leave to Nuevo Laredo to pass some time with my mom and sister. On Sunday nights we would leave back to Laredo , so we could be ready for school on Monday. This happened for 1 year i believe. My mom and sister then reunited with us, and left to San Antonio. It was 2009 . I was 10 years old by then. I think all of this happened in 2008-2010
