I was living in a distopian world, just like in the books like the giver. I had no idea I was living in a world that was so small I had nowhere to escape. I knew there was no place I could go but I had this immense sense of freedom that I could not hide, and would do anything to rebel against the authorities. One day I had enough and took a friend with me that had the same desire as I had. We planned to run as far as we could and hide as much as possible. We knew there was no big city, only neighborhoods, and big streets but we just wanted to escape from the person that ruled us all... My father. The faithful day arrived, we waited til it reached nighttime, so we could hide easily, and have more of a chance to escape. We took weapons, like a knife because we knew we couldn't be caught or we would be killed. There was no way our life would be spared for our act of rebellion, and disruption of the utopian life. Nighttime finally arrived, and we made a run for it. We had no place planned, nowhere to escape to. We only knew we couldn't stay living as brainless jellyfish any longer. We ran as fast as we could, adrenaline pumping through our blood, and fear fuelling our need to escape from my father who was running behind us with a knife, ready to kill us. We needed time to think our next move, so we saw high grass up ahead, and jumper right on it. We stayed still, breathing heavily from running, abd from the anxiety. There was a second we couldn't hear anything going on around us, so we thought we had lost him, but that was short lived. My fathers footsteps were getting louder and louder as getting got closer to us. We knew we were dead but we still had the will to fight back, and die fighting for our freedom. I heard him stab the grass trying to see if he could hit one of us but I couldn't let that happen, so I stood up from the grass, and pushed him of to the street. "You think you can escape from me?" My father said with a Horrifying smile on his face. I was so scared of dying at that moment but I used that fear of dying and transformed it into a desire of living for my freedom. If that meant I had to kill my own dad to be free... I would do it a hundred times. I quickly ran to him and tried to take the knife he had in his hands, but he was stronger than me, so the only choice I had left was to use all my strength, and push his hands with the knife towards him, and hope for the best. My friend went to look for help, and hope someone would help us. I said nothing during this whole event, I just acted and said not a single word. The only one who was talking was my dad, trying to scare me, telling me I was already dead, that there was no use in trying to kill him. His people would come and get us and ultimately end our lives. I used this moment of him rambling to push even harder, thus stabbing him with his own knife, right on his stomach. This gave me a rush of adrenaline, and hope, so I kept stabbing him like crazy. I lost my humanity at that moment but I didn't care, I saw my freedom getting closer. My friend came with the help we needed. "Thank God you guys are here! This man tried to kill us, please help us es-" My friend was cut off by the voice of my almost dead father thanking them for coming for his rescue. It turned out that they were brainwashed like everyone else in this world, and were already informed of our escape, and they were here to capture us. When we realized this we quickly ran away from them, and did not stop. We kept running, and running until we saw something that made us realize how small this utopian world we actually lived. We knew it wasn't big but we didn't know it was just as small as living in a fish tank. Ahead of us we saw a bunch of security, guarding a huge fence, and on the other side of the fence was land.
On the other side of the fence we saw what we've never seen before. The land was green, and it had huge trees. It started to rain really hard so we used this as an opportunity to hide from the guards, and try to run to the fence, and jump to the other side. The guards were changing shifts, now that is was raining. We took this opportunity to run, and we made it passed the guards but we still had this big obstacle ahead of us. The fence. I told my friend "We can do this, let's climb up the fence as fast as we can before the guards see us, and if they do see us they can't do anything about it because we will already be on the other side." My friend had a worried face but filled with hope at the same time. We started climbing the fence, and right before we were about to jump into the other side we heard the guards screaming at us. We threw ourself to the ground on the other side of the fence.... "We finally made it Maddy! We are free!" I said to my friend while crying. We stood up from the ground and stared limping our way into what we later knew it to be a forest. "Daniel, we're we going next? " Said Maddy. "Next? We will start a new life, don't worry. "
It's filled with errors but it's just a dream I had, and might make into a full story.
