〰️ Chrissy's Pov 〰️

〰️ Saturday 〰️

I was sitting by the phone all day, waiting for Eddie call. I already made two batches of cookies just to have an excuse to stay in the kitchen. My parents were out helping my older sister, Emilia find a new car so I could have my own back. Even if I like riding with Eddie, which I'm sure would be a blow to his dramatic ego. I laugh at the thought of it, and begin to look at the keys hung on the little holder by the door. I mean, who could blame a road sick teenager? I itched to drive, but was told not to, the thought of me crashing it crowded my parents minds.

I began to think of the places I could go. I could go drop off my overdue rented movies at the Family Video and see Steve. I haven't talked to him in a while I wonder how he's doing. Or, I could go see Nancy, but she's probably out busy doing school reports and applying to college. I tap my fingers on the cold table. Just then the phone rang and I sprinted to the phone like it was a marathon. " Hello?" I said sweetly.

" Hey there Sunshine." Jason says on the other end.

I roll my eyes and hang up the phone. For the next 15 minutes I got non stop calls from Jason, which was highly irritating, considering I only wanted Eddie to call. The phone finally stopped ringing and I relaxed on the couch after grabbing a cookie from the cooling rack.

I look back at the car keys. Fuck it. I left a note telling the family I had urgent business to attend to and I would be back tonight. I grabbed the keys and I felt so in control.

I unlock the doors to my 1979 Miata, and jump in, giddy I had my car back. My sister left it pristine for me to have back. It started and put the movies in the passenger seat and backed out of the driveway.

It took me a few minutes to get back into routine with my car, but once I did I jet over to Family Video and talk to Steve.

" Hey Butthead." I say punching him playfully and giving the movies to Robin.

" Hey Butthead." He mimicked and punched me back before giving me a hug over the counter. I notice Robin standing off to the side.

" Hey Pretty Lady come my way." I called to her and she smiled. I never knew her that well but I knew her and Steve were best friends. She rubbed the back of her neck and waved and sat by Steve.

" Soooo, I heard you kicked Catherine off the team. How bad ass of you! But I also heard about Jason..." Steve trailed off and I wave my hand at him.

" He was an ass don't worry about hurting my feelings. I finally got the real side of him." I sighed. Steve nodded.

" Well, I didn't wanna be the one to ruin you guy's relationship but... I totally knew he was an ass." Steve chuckled. Robin agreed by nodding her head and training her eyes on him. Steve looks back at her and looks at me. " I- uhm, need to sort some movies around the store, yeah. I'll see you later Chrissy?" I hummed in agreement and gave him one last hug.

" So, uhm. Crazy weather we're having huh?" Robin began. I laugh and agree.

" I've barely been able to put enough layers on, definitely need to buy some more jackets." I laugh out and she shyly laughs back.

" Yea, it gets crazy around here. Say, do you wanna hang out sometime? You seem really cool and I just want to get to know you..." She trails off.

" Well, any friend of Steve's is a friend of mine. So of course, now my schedule is hectic but I'm sure I'll find time I promise!" I chirped and took the notepad from the counter and wrote my number and gave it to her. She looked at it and shoved it in her pocket smiling.

" I'll be sure to call you, I promise. Thank you!" She squeals as she throws me in a hug. I never saw Robin as a hugger, but I patted her back and was squished from her sheer force. She released me and scratched her neck again.

" Maybe if you want to tomorrow, we could hang out?" I say and she nods. " Just call me tomorrow and I'll let you know." I say my goodbyes to Robin and Steve and walk out of the Family Video, noticing Steve and Robin jumping up and down behind the counter.

I remember we needed a few more baking ingredients because of my frenzy this morning. I decide to go to the supermarket to grab what we needed for the house, knowing mom doesn't go to the store until Thursday.

I walk into the market, going towards the baking aisle, and I spot a very familiar leather jacket and jean vest. I wonder what he's doing in the baking isle? I decided I would sneak up behind him and scare him. I went around the next aisle and began to creep up on him. He had cake frosting and all the ingredients in a little hand held basket. I finally run up to him and grabbed his shoulders.

His reaction was priceless, he screamed like a little girl and dropped the basket. He looked at me and frown as I was cackling over him.

" Chrissy! Don't scare me like that!" He complains. I nod and help pick up his basket. After he contained himself he finally wraps me in a hug. " I could have known some kind of Jiu-jitsu and you would have been dead." He whispers and drags a finger across my neck.

" You? Eddie Munson? I would have never guessed!" I teased him. He grabs his basket and makes a 'humph' sound. " I never would have guessed Eddie was a baker either!" I chirped, pointing to his basket. He immediately blushed.

" Well, no one really knows but my uncle, and I guess you know." He laughs out. I cock my head sideways.

" I'm sure you make great desserts! I was actually here because I made a lot of cookies waiting for... Well it's not important, but I ran out of supplies and decided to stock up for the next craze." I say proudly. He laughs but then looks quizzical.

" How did you get here? Did you walk! Ugh, I knew I should have called to see if you needed anything! You better not walk back, I'm not letting it happen no way!" He throws a tantrum like a toddler and I giggle.

" Don't worry 'Dad' I got my car back." I laughed. He looks at me and raises an eyebrow.

     " You have a car?"

" Always have, my sister needed it though so my parents decided to give it to her for the time, but they went to go buy one today." I explained.

" I guess you won't need rides from me anymore huh?" He said sadly, kicking his feet.

" No no, I love our car rides, and if you ever want to give me a ride you are more then welcome to, but I don't want to be a bother to you-"

" Never say you're a bother again." He said angrily. I blink and let out a small 'alright'. He smiles, " Thank you. Now what are you doing after this. I got some good movies at the house if you want to hang out. I mean you don't have to, I mean don't think I'm bothering you, you know what forget the idea-" He blushes and rambles.

" Of course I would love to hang out." I smile and lay a hand on his shoulder. " Let me tell my mom and I'll head over, ok?" I tell him and he violently nods his head and grins.

He rushes to the checkout and I follow behind as he gives me his address. When we are done he waves to me and rushes to his van. " See you in a minute Princess!" I giggle and get into my car.

I got home before my family and parked the exact same way, to make sure they didn't suspect I left. I waited until they got home to ask to go to a friends house. They agreed to let me use my car to go, in case I wanted to leave early. I rush to the car and bolt to Eddie's trailer.
