〰️ Chrissy's Pov 〰️

〰️The next day〰️

     I had been trying to avoid Eddie at all costs today. I was so embarrassed I just, went in and kissed him! I know he said he didn't care but I should have asked and I feel so fucking stupid.

     I scowl at myself and pull away from my seat and go to my second block, I sat in a different seat first block to not have to see Eddie so directly. I walked out into the hall with him following me.

      " Hey, Chrissy?" He called out as I began to walk even faster, trying to get to my second block without having to talk to him. " What's going on?" His hand collided with my shoulder and I whip around to see him.

     " Nothing Eddie. I'm fine I promise. I just need some time right now." I shot back at him, a twinge of anger in my voice. He let go of my shoulder and put his hands down.

     " Anything for you, Princess." He sighed out and began to walk the opposite direction. I could hear the hurt in his voice, but I just didn't have the guts to face him.

     Finally the end of the school day came, and we had a game. Of course it was basketball so I had to face Jason for a few more milliseconds then I would like to. Surprisingly, the boy didn't give me any grief, so the game was fine.

      I began to walk home from the game, the air slapping my skirt on my legs. Just then I heard the very familiar sound of the van. I look back and Eddie is already out of the car. Shit.

     He began to walk to me in a mean demeanor, and I just stare at him. Eddie finally got to me, he looked at me with fire in his eyes. " Do you know how late it is? And it's cold? You could get kidnapped!" He yells at me and I cringe.

     " Yeah..." I draw out. And he nods.

     " So get your ass in the van, drink the hot chocolate I got you and we are gonna talk whatever is happening out. Go on, shoo." He waves me to the van. I let out a small smile and walk to the van. He lets out a small humph in success and gets in the van. It was so warm in the van I cozied up into the passenger seat and grab the hot chocolate.

     " Thank you Eddie. For all of this," I began my voice already cracking. I could feel tears welling in the corners of my eyes. " You're to nice to me I don't deserve you Eddie." I cracked out and a tear slipped onto my cheek.

     " No, no, no Princess it's ok. Don't cry, god you're making me sad now." He wiped the tear off my face, even avoiding the hand I put out to too him from doing that exact thing. " I promise you, if anything I don't deserve you. Chrissy, it's ok." He reassured me as he tries to drive.

     " I know, I just. No one's ever treated me so... Heavenly as you have Eddie and I just can't believe you care for me so much! It's just weird ok?" I blurt out the last few parts and crumple into the seat next to him. He sighed and began to caress my knee. We were parked in front of my house.

     It took a while to calm down before I could look up at him fully. He just sat there and smiled sadly at me. He grabbed my pinky and hooked it on to his own.

     " I promise to never leave you horribly like that dickhead Jason did. And I promise to always be there for you and spoil you as much as I can. Even if you hate me at times I will still be here." He stared into my watery eyes. He smiled and broke the pinky-promise. Eddie kissed me on the forehead and caressed my cheek.

      Just then a car down the street starts, and drives off. Whoever they are, that was creepy. My thoughts were cut off by my parents walking outside.

      " I'll see you soon my prince." I gave him a little kiss on the cheek and get out of the car.

      " I'll see you soon my princess." He cooes back to me, rolling out of the driveway.

       I walk up to my parents, both of them have their arms crossed and shaking their head.

     " You're in big trouble girl." My dad says gruffly and takes me by the arm in the house.
