〰️ A Month Later 〰️

〰️ Chrissy's Pov 〰️

Everyone was rushing to get preparations for graduation, it was only a week away. My arm was now healed and I was back to my normal preppy self, minus the impending doom in the back of my head, telling me something was going on. I tried my best to put the feeling behind me, knowing I had people to protect me.

Eddie had made slow improvements to get back into the school system, he came maybe once a week to get assignments since he could drive, his arm also healed, minus his foot still being in a boot. He made it pretty clear that he was going to prove his teachers wrong about graduating again, he spent our time together studying.

My parents took a business trip to Australia to sell a product they had just made up a few weeks earlier around spring break. Leaving me with no one in the house minus my sister who would come home occasionally on the weekends to do laundry. Meaning I was rarely at the house alone, scared the man would come to find me and I would have no one to defend me. I may be strong willed but damn I'm not a good fighter. I spent most of my time with Eddie, or working at the coffee shop with Eddie at a table not far away.

Our relationship only grew stronger after our small dispute. He finally learned how to think before he spoke, and I not to think irrationally at the slightest hint of another person budding into our relationship.

Today, I was on the council to help decorate the graduation. I was going to make it the damn best graduation this school as never had, even on a budget.

I walked out towards my car, finally breathing in the warm air that brought spring in. Eddie was waiting in his van for me, playing his mixtape on max volume. I didn't like driving alone, I was paranoid. Paranoid to the point where it was stupid and even I knew it.

He rolled down his window and shot me a smile, lowering the volume. " Hello my love. How was your day?"

" It was alright. Cant say it was much different than the usual." I replied and kissed him lightly on the chin, his van was tall.

" Meet me at the trailer?" He asks and I nod, walking to my car.

We drove down the beautiful winding road. Wildflowers grew in abundance around the curves, giving an element of color to this dreary town.

We made it to his trailer and he simply said, " it's a surprise." When we walked in. He held a finger up and began to back into his room and close the door. I smile and sit on the sofa, tapping my foot anticipating the thing he may give me. " Close your eyes!" He yells from the other room.

" Okay! They're closed!" I yell back. I can hear him shuffling into the living room, probably holding something.

" Okay open them." You can hear the smile in his voice. I open my eyes and immediately clasp my hands on my mouth.

It was two caps and they had matching tops, they had dice glued on them with the 'hellfire club' logo on it. He clearly put a lot of thought into it. Then there was a jewelry box next to my cap. I got up off the sofa and walked to him. " Oh my god Eddie." I pick up the box and his smile grew even wider.

     Is this a proposal?

I open the box and to my surprise there is a necklace. It had '86 on it and the same logo on the back of the 86. I broke out into a sniffling mess.

" I had a friend at work make the necklace for you. I made the cap toppers myself-" he was cut off by me squeezing his in a tight hug.

" This is the best thing anyone could have done for me. Thank you so much my love. I can't thank you enough. It's so... detailed! How did he even make it? Eddie oh my god." I kept going on and on. He placed the caps down and made me turn around.

" Let me just put it on you stop bouncing around." He chuckled and put the necklace on me. " And no, this isn't the best thing, but that's what I can do for now." He smiles down at me and kisses my forehead.

     For now?

What the hell could that mean? It doesn't matter, he's here with me now, and that's all that matters.

We spent the rest of the day planning the decorations for the graduation. A smile never left my face, and for a moment I forgot the rest of the world.

A/N thank you all so much for being understanding abt my situation and ily so much :))
