〰️ Chrissy's Pov 〰️

〰️ Day 1 of Eddie being away 〰️

     I went to see Eddie after school today, it was very pleasant. It wasn't anything like the movies, we were allowed to sit in our own surveillance room. The talk wasn't to long, but I was emotional, especially for him. He hadn't been able to talk to me since the match on Saturday. 

      " I'm sorry Princess, what can I do for you when I get out? I promise I'll make your days great and cherish you, and hey, I'll even leave Jason alone. As long as you forgive me." He rambles, tears in his eyes. I shook my head and look at him in the eyes. 

    " Baby, it's ok. I forgive you, just stay out of trouble for a while. I need you to walk that stage along with me. Please." I sigh out and he grins widely. 

     " I promise Chrissy I promise." He says over and over. It was quiet for a moment. Peace filled the air.  " Now, do you want to cover my position as dungeon master? No one fits the role like you, and, well, I'm in here. So would you pretty please." He gave me puppy dog eyes and I laugh.

    " I suppose I could. I just read from the rules and everything, right? It couldn't be that hard." I say simply. He rolls his eyes and groans. 

     " Yea no, I'm gonna help you out. The game is tonight of course." 

     After about thirty minutes of relevant information to the game, he was told to go back into the holding cell. We said our goodbyes and I exited the room first. I start my car, it was currently around four, so I would go back to the school around six. 

     I decided to go to the small coffee shop I had applied to, to check my application status. They said their supervisor was reviewing the details and I should get a call in the next few days. I got excited as I sat down and drank a coffee. These past few days I slipped out of my good habits, the situation with Eddie made me anxious. The smell of coffee on my breath exhaled turns into vapor as I walk around the square. I lit up a half of a cigarette, I never saw the thrill of it, but it eases my mind from biting my nails as of late. I never liked to admit my bad habits, but this became one of them. Hell, just about every jock, even Jason surprisingly, had been smoking. Eddie had been, but he had been nice enough to exit the house so it didn't stink up his small trailer. 

      I was so lost in my thoughts I bumped into someone, and accidentally hit them with my lit cig. " I am so sorry! I am so sorry!" I look up and see Billy, who is only holding the little circular burn. He barely winced when it happened, and I immediately drop it. 

    " It's ok Sweetheart, no harm no foul. You just need to ease that pretty mind." He smiles at me, easily trying to flirt with me. I shook it off and smiled. 

     " Well, if there is anything I can do to help with that burn of yours, I don't mind really." I explain and he gives me a silencing hand. 

    " Just bum me a cigarette would ya?" His Californian accent came out and I nodded, giving him one from the smooshed pack in my purse. I held a hand over the cigarette as he lights it, making sure the cold doesn't get to it. He takes a good puff out of it and sighs. " God I haven't had one of these in a while. Been trying to quit 'em ya know?" 

    " Yeah, I know. Say, how is Maxine?" I ask and he smiles. 

    " She's been better, but she's finally took the headphones off once in a while. She's even going to a Dungeons and Dragons game tonight. Needless to say, she'll beat some ass." He laughs and takes another drag, I motion for him to give me a quick hit, and he does so. 

    I decided not to tell him about it, because I had faith she would show up either way, plus we needed some players. Considering Mike's girlfriend is about to leave, and Eddie. I smile at him. " I'm sure she will, Billy. I'm sure of it." I'll make sure she has one good ass time. " Say what are her favorite snacks?"

     He went on a rambling list as I mentally took notes. We walked around the square and the fountain numerous times. I hadn't even realized the time, 5:30. I decided I would leave and say my goodbyes to the tired looking Billy, who said he needed to go pick up his sister anyways. 

     I grabbed a lot of her favorite snacks and headed to the school. I grabbed a bunch of bags and Dustin helped me. Then, of course, the roar of a Camaro is heard, and so is Billy waving his hand out of the window. I smile and wave back, seeing Dustin become excited. 

    We begin to make our way into the building, Billy hopping out of his car and helping me by taking all of the bags and setting them down in the room. " Thank you." I say shortly and help set up the map and everything.

     " No problem Sweetheart. Knowing you're here, I may just stick around." He winks at me. For a moment, I blushed. WAIT!
