〰️ Eddie's Pov 〰️

All I could think about was Chrissy. Even after she left I couldn't get her off my mind. I tried strumming the strings on my guitar, maybe finding a new song idea but to no avail. I walk outside and smoke a cig, tapping my foot as I begin to wonder how she was doing. She seemed fine after Jason, but if anyone knows she's not 'fine' it's me. I finish the smoke, flick it into the grass, and head inside.

My fingers twitches before dialing her number, knowing it was late. The line kept ringing until a small, hushed voice answered. " Hello?"

" Hey Chrissy I was just wondering if your ok? And you know, if you want to sneak out and hang, I know you're stressed." I say softly as I found out it was Chrissy. It was quiet on the other side of the line for a while.

" Yea I could do that, but I can't take my car anywhere. Is your uncle home yet with the car?" She asked hurriedly and I replied a small 'yes'. " Well then you can pick me up a few streets away, I'll walk. Let's say five minutes?" She asked.

" Sure Chrissy. Anything you want." I smiled after she gave me a street name and hung up the phone. My uncle wasn't very strict on curfews. As long as I got good grades and graduated, he doesn't mind. I grabbed the keys from the table and hop into the van.

A few minutes later I find a shivering Chrissy by a stop sign and pick her up. " Hey Princess." She smiled at me.

" Hey Eddie. What did you have in mind?" She asked. I hummed in response, heading into the opposite direction of her house.

" There is an all night diner here somewhere. And don't worry, they don't tattle." I chuckled, seeing the nervousness lift off of her face.

" Sounds like a plan man," she started. Her face was red, she didn't have makeup to hide the print of Jason's wrath on her left cheek. I frowned and looked at the road.

We arrived at the diner, and Chrissy flips her hood over her face, trying to hide the mark. It failed, so she finally gave up trying to find a way to cover it up. The usual waitress, Joann comes up and immediately recognizes me. She looks over at Chrissy then stares at me pointing, " You didn't do this did you? I swear if you did Honey you're gonna pay," she began. I put my hands up and denied the allegations.

" No, no ma'am he didn't I promise. Just some stupid ex." Chrissy de-escalates the situation, and Joann smiles at her.

" Oh alright Baby, well sweet little Eddie over here better take care of you better then whoever did that to you." Joann jests to the mark and Chrissy blushes.

" I'm sure he won't ma'am." Chrissy says and hides behind a menu. Then it hit me. Joann thinks we are dating, and Chrissy didn't deny it! I contained my fangirling and ordered the usual from this place: a ham and cheese with a side of Mac & Cheese. Chrissy got the PB&J but with honey and I smiled.

" Still love those sandwiches huh?" I laugh and Chrissy points at me scowling.

" Says the man who has a 'the usual' order of a sandwich also." She giggles back and I frown dramatically, making her laugh in fits.

We ate our food quickly and make small talk, I learned a lot about her in the past hour, and it was honestly so relaxing to be around her. She seemed to soothe any aches and pains I had previously. My mind was clear when I talked to her, I was truly happy. I paid the check, but we continued to sit there for a while just enjoying each other's company. How could I fall for someone so quickly?

Chrissy snapped me back into reality " Where to next? It's a bit after 12, but I'm not ready to go home yet." She wrapped her hands on her upper arms. I hummed thinking of what we could do next.

" I know a place, and I have a spare jacket. If you would be willing to go outside that is."
I chuckled as she nodded, getting up and heading to the door. I held the door open and she hopped into the car. " It'll be a surprise, maybe you'll learn something." I smiled widely. There's a perfect parking garage a few miles away, and the top always had the perfect view of the stars. But my favorite part is the flatness which means: skateboarding.

We arrive at the garage, and I dig in the back for the spare coat and toss it to her. She willingly agreed and it looked so oversized on her I couldn't help but laugh. " What's so funny?" She huffed and stood next to me.

" Nothing, you look cute when you wear my jacket." I say without thinking. CUTE? DAMMIT EDDIE NOW SHE THINKS YOU'RE WEIRD!!! Chrissy stood there, putting her hands on her face. I simply died of embarrassment in my head but continued to search for the boards in the back.

I found a perfect board for Chrissy and my own. I held both of them in my arms and tilted my head towards the staircase. " The top floor is closed off to vehicles but we can go up there. Security is loose around here." I explained to her as we walk up the stairs and into the floor. Her eyes beamed upwards, the edges of her mouth curling into a smile. I smile down at her and put both boards down on the floor. " Now, do you know how to skate?" I asked. She shook her head shyly and I laughed shortly. " Well, I'll help you Princess."
