Eddie was nervous again, setting the stage up.
I glanced around the dive bar, taking in the different signs and strange clientele.
Gareth and Jeff joined Eddie on stage, greeting him.
"You're more nervous than usual," I heard Jeff comment. Eddie tried to subtlety nod to me. It made me smile. I waved to Gareth and Jeff as they noticed me, smiling back at me.
"Hello, fair maiden!" Jeff called. I smiled at the nickname Eddie used for me.
"Hello, bard!" I was proud of my D&D reference. Eddie's face twisted into a smile as he pulled his guitar strap over his head.
He pulled a pick from his pocket and strummed the chords, bringing the small crowd to attention. I sipped at my beer, excited to see Corroded Coffin again. Eddie leaned close to the mic, breathing in.
"Thanks for coming out, everyone," he looked to me, and smiled, "We are Corroded Coffin, enjoy the show."
Gareth clicked his drumsticks together, to start a tempo, and the show started.
---
The show was incredible. Corroded Coffin was incredible. Eddie was incredible.
His nerves went away when he started to play, confidently plucking the chords. His voice was low, rasping into the mic as he sang through their songs. My head was swimming with attraction as I watched his arms, pulsating with each note, tattoos flexing.
I felt my face flush when he looked directly at me during a song, his face pulling into a wicked grin as he noticed my blush.
I gulped my beer, pushing through the heat.
Eddie wrapped the show, looking at me when he said his thank you's to the crowd. I was full of beer and longing for him. He packed his guitar, and sauntered over to me, smiling smugly.
"What did you think?"
I didn't answer him, pulling him by the collar to my lips, kissing him. He was surprised, dropping his guitar case as he sat in the chair next to mine, putting his hands around my neck. I pulled away and he gasped.
"You were incredible." His smug grin turned into a soft smile as he looked at me.
"You really think so?" Nervous Eddie asked. I smiled.
"I think I might have to start a fan club," I teased, and he laughed, pulling me back to him. His touch and the alcohol made my head fuzzy, less inhibited. I pulled him closer, and I felt his breath catch.
"I guess Dustin was right when he said Eddie's a softie now," We broke from each other and looked to Gareth and Jeff. My face flushed as they smiled at us, raising their eyebrows. Eddie wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Only for her," he was confident, proud to have me with him. They laughed and started to leave.
"Thanks for coming, Y/N." I nodded and waved to them, watching them exit.
My attention was brought back as Eddie kissed my neck, softly. I melted, my heart pounding.
"I'm glad you came," he spoke into my neck, making my hair stand on edge. I looked at him, his eyes were full of that hunger I had for him. He stood, suddenly, taking my hand. "Let's get out of here."
---
Eddie didn't even make it to his van.
As soon as we stepped outside, he pushed me against the wall, kissing me hard. It surprised me, and my knees almost gave out from under me. He caught me, pushing himself harder against me. His kisses grew in fervor, consuming me. I wrapped my hands around his back, clawing at him. He groaned into my mouth, tracing my body with his hands.
