I grinned at her shocked face. I took her hand and started pulling her towards the tattoo shop.
"You said you were up for anything!" I teased. Her shock grew into a smile as she looked at me.
"I don't even know what I would get!" I pulled her close, kissing her nose.
"That's what makes it stupid. And fun!" I dragged her towards the parlor, and she laughed, making me smile.
We stumbled into the shop, laughing and holding onto one another. A large, gruff man with a thick beard and tattoos up and down his arms sat at the front desk. His face split into a smile.
"Eddie Munson!" He stood, offering his hand. I sauntered over, returning his smile and taking his hand.
"It's great to see you, Bones," I replied. He suddenly pulled me into a large hug, slapping my back. He released me and flipped my wrist over.
"The bats healed up nice," he commented on my tattoo. It was the last one I had gotten done by him.
"That's one of my favorites of Eddie's," Y/N commented. Bones turned to her, his smile growing wider. I smiled.
"Bones, this is my girlfriend, Y/N," I introduced the two. Y/N put her hand out and Bones pulled her in for a hug.
"Eddie Munson has a girlfriend?" He turned to me, teasing me. I turned red, nodding. He looked down at her again, releasing her. "And she's this pretty?"
Y/N laughed her sparkling laugh and I grinned, nodding at him.
"Y/N, Bones has done all of my tattoos," I explained his familiarity with me. She beamed up at him, her smile making my heart catch.
"You do very good work, Bones," she complimented. He grinned.
"Thank you, Y/N. What can I do for you two today?" he asked. He didn't let us answer before putting his hands up. "I'm not giving you guys matching tattoos or each other's names. I won't be responsible for a breakup."
Y/N laughed, and my stomach dropped at even a joke about us potentially breaking up. I smiled at the two of them, nodding at Bones.
"We both want tattoos today!" Y/N replied brightly. My smile grew at her excitement.
"Do you know what you want?" Bones motioned for us to follow him back to his chair. Before Y/N could answer, I spoke up.
"I know exactly what I want," I grinned as Y/N's jaw dropped.
"How do you already know what you want, Eddie Munson?" she was incredulous. My smile grew as I kissed her forehead.
"The idea came to me as soon as we walked in, dove," I leaned close to her, making her blush. Bones smiled at the two of us, patting his chair for Y/N to hop up. She clambered into the chair and clasped her hands together nervously. I sat at the edge of the chair, wrapping my hand around her thigh and squeezing it.
"What are you thinking, Y/N?" Bones asked, pulling gloves on. Her face blanched.

I had never gotten a tattoo – it was the one thing I did not get around to one my big trip. Dustin always asked during our phone calls about it, desperate to know about everything I had done on my adventures. I had opportunities, but never knew what I wanted.
But now, I was here, Bones waiting for me to answer his question. Eddie was grinning, rubbing my thigh with his thumb. I smiled back at him, my stomach flip-flopping at his touch and the thought of my future tattoo.
"I'm not sure – I don't want to get something lame."
"If you got it, it could never be lame," Eddie took my hand and kissed my knuckles. I smiled at him.
