CHAPTER SIX : Hermosa Soleil
Clarinette | Lianna
What if someone told you that you're going to die in 7 years without saying the complete details of your death? And they tell you to surpass that death row or else you'll literally feel the end. What would you do? Enjoy the remaining seven years of your life or find the cure before the due date?
Seven years seems a pretty long time, unless you're not an overthinker and a highly goal-driven perfectionist who doesn't like serendipitous moments, it's fine.
Also, it could be possible to live normally in just seven years, but in this world where the time is too fast to grasp and tons of workloads to amend, would you have the ounce to enjoy the last seven years of your life or snapped out from the fantasy of death and began searching the root of your demise?
I don't think I have time to slouch. I'm not even in the position to enjoy any of the free time I had because I need to plot everything and do things according to plan.
I will lose interest to pursue things once it gets spoiled or I will rampage for a week. That is how I lived my life as a designer.
"Your grace, they already cut the ribbon."
I lifted my head to meet Teirro's eyes.
"The maids did a great job at handling the flyers. Marami ang pumasok pero tantya ko ay kalahati diyan ay nakikiuso lang, 'yong iba naman nag-iisip pa kung bibili o hindi."
"It was a nice decision to watch from afar, your grace." Teirro always compliments my work. "I really thought you'll be welcoming the people yourself, but given your recent decision, you don't want them to meet you yet."
"You should congratulate yourself, Teirro. You found those employees than matches my strict leadership. Napagtanto ko kasi na mas maganda na konti lamang ang makakakilala sa may-ari. Isa pa, I withdraw what I said about staying in the shop all day, since Sofia has been cranky when I'm not around ever since she reached 2 years old."
He let out a chuckle. "The young lady of Silverstein seems to know how to use a leash very well. Not that I mock your parenting method, however, infants like her age were used to their nannies. Sofia needs to learn independence, your grace."
"Buzz off, Teirro. She is just a child," I uttered. "As much as possible, I want to raise Sofia with love and safety, so that she will grow kind and understand her father's absence."
"As usual, I will support you on behalf of the Duke, your grace."
I gave him a nod before he bowed down and left. Momentarily, I left the place and swarmed into the crowd. It wasn't easy to blend in due to the maroon colored cloak I am wearing but it is the only thing that hides my white hair.
I did not mind the people as their strokes went offensive because the newly opened clothing shop excites them.
A month ago, some of my plans went downhill and with short notice I pulled the resolution pretty well. I let Teirro handle the hiring of employees but I had the final say.
I strictly review their background information to avoid having problems in the future. It wasn't an easy process but it went great, and now, the store is flooded with aristocrats and high class Arcadians.
