Nababalot kami ng katahimikan dito sa dinning. Tila hindi alam kung sino Ang mauuna mag salita. Kagat Ang labi sa inis ay nag iba ako ng posisyon, sumandal na’ko dahil sa ngalay.

Tang’na mga istorbo.

“Uh…ano pong sasabihin niyo?” tanong ni Shane at hindi na nakayanan ang pananahimik ng dalawa.

“Ganito kasi ‘yon…Kailan niyo ba balak mag pakasal?” tanong ni Mr. Tori.

My lips parted. I look at my girlfriend and she’s also shock. This is a sudden question. But I’m ready…though I don’t think she is. She just recovered.

“Well we’re sti—”

“That’s not the reason why we’re here.” My mother cut me.

Kumunot ang noo ko , “what?”

“We’re getting married f’cker.” She spoke.

I caught oldie hit my mother’s arm using his elbow.  He seems embarrassed.  He can’t even look in my eyes.

“When?” I asked my mother.

“Papaunahin muna sana namin kayo—”

“Next week.” She answered not minding her groom.

“Sila nalang muna kung may plano sila ngayong taon.” Pag pilit ni Mr. Tori.

Halos mapatalon ako sa gulat nang hawakan ni Shane ang kamay ko. Hinuli ko ang tingin niya. Nakangiti siya at nag niningning ang mata.

I bit my lip, easy man.

“Kahit anong taon naman po okay lang sa’kin. Pero sa tingin ko kayo po muna ang mauna.” sabi niya sa kanilang dalawa.

“Yeah, besides, matanda na kayo kaya kayo dapat mauna. May oras pa kami—Fuck!” I curse when my mother throw her purse at my freaking face.

“Mom!” reklamo ko.

“Ano?” matapang niyang tanong.

Natahimik akong umiling. Lahat sila ay tinawanan ako. What? My mother is scary. Kay Shane lang ata siya malummanay makipagusap. Ang sakit ng ilong ko. Ano bang laman ng purse ni mom?

Inabot ko iyon at binuksan. My lips parted. “What the f’ck is this?”

Her eyes widen then grab it away from me. Akala ko ilalayo pero umamba siyang ipupukpok ‘yon sa ulo ko kaya hinarang ko ang kamay ko. Ngunit hindi niya tinuloy at inis na umayos ng upo.

Oldie is  doomed tonight I f’cking swear. I know my mother, but dude, she’s wild even at this age. I don’t know if I would feel embarrassed or proud.

I sighed.

“Uh…dito po ba kayo mag hahapunan?” tanong ni Shane.

“No…I just want to tell you our plans so you won’t be shock.” My mother answered and flash a smile.

“It’s not shocking at all.” I whisper.

Agad akong siniko ni Shane. Ngumuso lang ako at hindi na nag salita pa. What else can I say? Do they still need an approval? Of course not. And I like Oldie for my mother.

They both stand up and fix themselves. “We’re leaving now, I’ll check my wedding dress.”  she said with happiness.

“Already?” hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko.

Even Mr. Tori look shocked.

“What’s wrong with you guys? I said I want it fast!” she turned to oldie not expecting him to be shock.
