Today is the day that you and your class are going to (a theme park you like) as a rewards trip from your school, and you couldn't be any more excited!
"Single file, guys, come on!" Your form teacher shouts at the coach's entrance door, over the chatter of all the students and their excitement.
You step onto the coach, your best friend before you, and once you are up the steps, you see that only half of the coach is full of students. As you both walk down the small aisle, your friend pulls you into the next vacant seat to sit down. Of course she is in the window seat; she always has to have it, ever since you met her she has.
"I'm really excited," she says with a grin. She's been saying this since a week ago, and now you have to admit you are too. It would be your first roller coaster to go on when you get there, and you had a mixture of nervousness and excitement building up in you.
"Me too," you mirror her facial expression. "I just wish everyone would hurry up and get on the coach already so we can set off."
She groans and nods in agreement, leaning back in her seat to get comfortable. "Me too."
You sit back too and see that she is getting her iPod and earphones ready for the three hour journey, so you decide to do the same.
Students are walking down the aisle, filling up the seats from where you are, but a few happen to be walking past you to meet their friends at the back of the coach, who saved them seats. One of them students happens to be the most beautiful girl in the world: Dinah Jane Hansen.
She's been your crush since as long as you can remember now. With her long blonde hair that always happens to be perfectly curled, and her round brown eyes with the longest eyelashes any other girl would die for, she was perfect in your eyes.
Except there was one problem.
You had only spoken three times at the most. Otherwise, she would never acknowledge you. Not purposely, of course, but there was never a need for her to speak to you. You just weren't in the same friendship group, so you never conversed. That left you to admire her from afar and try to comprehend the perfection that is Dinah Jane Hansen.
"(Y/N)," your friend snaps her fingers in front of your face, causing you to immediately turn your head to her.
"Hm?"
She chuckles and glances at Dinah before looking back at you. "You were staring again."
A pink blush spreads across your cheeks and you look down in embarrassment.
"I really think you should speak to her," she says in that 'best friend knows best' tone she has. "She won't bite."
Your best friend has known of your crush on Dinah since your crush started to develop; you guys told each other everything so of course she would. Thankfully, she has been really supportive of it and doesn't embarrass you about it, but instead insists on you trying to talk to her.
You laugh nervously and speak. "Maybe another time, just not now."
She rolls her eyes as you say that all the time but never go through with it. "Whatever. But when she gets a girlfriend or boyfriend, don't go crying to me."
"I won't if you won't say I told you so," you retort with a smirk.
You both laugh and before either one can reply, the teacher speaks from the front of the coach, near the driver's seat.
"Okay, guys," she shouts, waiting for everyone to stop speaking before continuing. "You know the rules. We are going to set off now and we will approximately be there in three hours, assuming there is no traffic. Make sure you're wearing your seat belts and no food or drink on the coach. That's all."
