Hwanwoong tried very hard to escape the never ending hugs from Xion and Keonhee, even with saying he needs to leave now or he might miss his flight, the two didn't let go. It made him tear up, knowing he has such great friends that don't want him to leave.
"Okay seriously, come on, he probably really needs to go now." Leedo encouraged, slightly tugging Xion off the shorter.
With a pout, Xion let go, which in turn caused Keonhee to let go after one last tight squeeze.
"Why are you crying?" Hwanwoong asked, looking up to console Keonhee. "I said I'll be back, it's a promise."
"I know." Keonhee whined, wiping away his tears dramatically. "Doesn't make this any less sad."
Hwanwoong showed a tight smile, eyes trailing over his housemates. Leedo approached and gave a quick hug, before motioning for Hwanwoong to leave with a few flicks of his hand.
"I'll see you guys soon, okay?" Hwanwoong reassured, hands gripping his backpack straps tight.
He was met with various responses that had him trying to smile as much as he could.
"Your phone is charged, right?" Keonhee tried to joke, though it was a serious question as well.
"A bit late to ask that." Xion commented under his breath.
"Yeah, make sure to text us updates." Leedo added, giving Hwanwoong a look that the shorter read like an open book. Ravn won't leave me alone if you don't give updates, so please remember to text me.
"Yeah, I'll make sure to text you guys." Hwanwoong smiled and nodded his head, running a hand through his hair. "I can't forget you guys that easily, don't worry."
"Have a safe flight." Seoho said quietly, scaring half the group because they forgot he was there. He hasn't said a word until now.
Hwanwoong tried to smile at the older, but it looked really forced.
"You guys get home safe." Hwanwoong waved, already walking away as he made the comment. He really needed to go now, or else he might never leave.
Multiples waves drew attention from people walking by, and with that the housemates left the airport. There was no point in lingering around after watching Hwanwoong make his way through a corridor and around a corner.
I didn't get to say a proper goodbye, but I hope you'll be okay Ravn. I hope I won't be gone long. Then we can fix everything thats happened. God it's been a long couple of days.
Stretching was the first thing on Hwanwoong's mind as he left the plane terminal, before the thought of getting his luggage or even locating a form of transportation. Even having slept on the flight, he was exhausted.
As he followed the crowd towards the baggage claim, his phone began to ding nonstop in his pocket, gaining the attention of those nearby before Hwanwoong had the chance to pull out the device and silence it. Numerous texts from his housemates, asking how he was, where he was, has he landed, did he eat, and many other things along the same line.
Shaking his head, Hwanwoong merely responded: just landed, need to get my bag, will text more later.
Pocketing the device, Hwanwoong couldn't shake the bad feeling in his stomach. Walking further through the airport didn't seem to help, but there were so many factors that could lead to this feeling. Nerves, anxiousness, sadness, loneliness, worry, guilt, they could all cause the bad feeling in his gut. Hunger was a very probable factor too.
Retrieving his bag, Hwanwoong was at a brief loss of what to do. Rubbing his hand down the side of his face, he decided to get to the entrance, where he could likely find a taxi that'll take him to his desired location. Only he was hesitant because of his previous experience with that type of transportation.
