Before I start: I wrote this chapter before Alecs passing, so I apologize if it comes over as disrespectful towards him. 😥This wasn't my intention and under todays circumstances I would have written it differently.

But it can't be changed now because that what is about to happen in the next chapters carries the whole story. I hope you'll give it a try. ❤

Jon's POV

I saw me standing on the stage. I wore a long, white coat with a peace sign on my back and a smile on my face. You could see the masses of fans cheering for the band, see nothing but happiness written in their numerous faces. I noticed the love and excitement in their eyes.

I felt like the king at that moment, my heart started beating faster because suddenly I felt very proud, my idea seemed to work out. My gaze stopped at one person that had covered it's face in black fabric. I couldn't see the person's facial expression, I just knew something was odd about it. But I didn't think much about it, amongst all the fans there were usually a few people who looked like they were being forced to be there.

Without wasting any more time with taking my audience in I began with the speech I had planned for weeks now. I talked about peace and love, about the idea of that concert and then I announced the next song: Imagine from John Lennon. I just thought it would fit perfectly for that special concert.

We played it acoustic, and so all of our positions had to be arranged differently. So Alec sat right behind me, Tico next to him and the other two guys sat next to me. Tico complained he was still staring at my ass from there and he wasn't admiring it that much, because I wasn't his girlfriend at the end of the day.

"Tico was just talking about my ass, he doesn't like it." I said into my microphone. "But I'm sure it fits me perfectly, don't ya think ladies?" I let out a big grin and spun around as I saw the masses going crazy. That's what I loved about this job: you could say and do anything and they still cheered for you.

"Alright, let's get goin'. One last time Giants Stadium!"

I just had finished the first chorus as I noticed the covered guy again. I still couldn't get rid of the feeling that something was wrong. And then I saw it: he held a gun in his hand, pointing straight to my heart.

I was so shocked that I couldn't say anything. The thought of warning my band didn't even cross my mind in that moment. I just stood there like I was being freezed and I was unable to think of anything, I didn't even feel fear. Suddenly my body took control over me and in some kind of reflex reaction I began to run for my life till I reached backstage. It wasn't long after that that I heard the shots. Then there was silence.

But a few moments after that hell did break loose. I could hear people screaming, crying, shouting my name. I just stood there, again unable to think or to move until someone dragged me to the stage. First I looked at the crowd that had gotten totally crazy again, but this time not of happiness but of pure fear and anticipation. It looked like this was beginning to get like some kind of riot.

I took the situation in a bit longer, hypnotized by the people that I was watching and by the screams I heard ringing in my ear. To my relief, the mystery man had disappeared. But my happiness about that didn't last long, as soon as I set my eyes on Alec.

He lay on the floor, an expression of shock still in his face. Then I saw blood running from his chest. Too much blood. The bullet must had hit him badly. Without wasting any more time, I grabbed the bandana I was wearing and tried to compress his wound with it. In the background I could just about make out the panicked voices of my bandmates, debating what to do. Then I fainted.
